Hi
I hope I'm not using the wrong link but I'm very interested in an article on your island west walk.
As an ex pat islander I take a great interest in Canvey's history, and followed up the walk myself [from the Lobbo to waterside farm].
I took a great interest in the WW2 boat tied to the jetty just passed the old refinery jetty.
I'm very curious as to what it is.I was always around that way when I was a kid but don't remember it [maybe my age].
My research has already shown that it is not a motor torpedo boat or motor gun boat, but it's shape shows that it must have been very fast.
Any ideas?---American P.T.boat-------Captured German E.boat?
Hopefully you can help.
P.S. It's nice to see that at least some of my old Island home hasn't been covered in concrete.

Hi

My site ( www.CanveyIsland.org.uk ) features a West Walk and a few photos of that Boat. I recall somebody mentioning it's an American WW2 boat.
