It appears that Belden will not be invited to form the new government. If Belden is wise, he will need to appoint some credible person to lead the opposition. That person must have an impeccabel credentials and possess the charisma to attract and hold together a fragmented group of single party members, independents; who, by choice, do not want to join Peter O'Neil.
The next test for Belden will be after 18 months-a vote of no-confidence in the Peter O'Neil government.
