In case you did not understand the postings, that is exactly what we are all trying to do: Remove him at the polls. I agree with Mangi bilong ples.
Certain things need to be in order for that to happen:
1. Allan has to contest, his popularity in ESP now is equivalent to that which Somare used to enjoy prior to 2002. Remember, the people most used and neglected by Somare of all the Sepik people are the Abelams of Wosera, Maprik and Drekikia and we have never been more intent on removing Somare then we are now. We could have done it in 2002, except that we had 3 candidates from Wosera, Allan Bird, Cletus Cox and James Malken. These three individuals are all related by blood. Somare won with around 36,000 votes, Allan Bird had 30,000, Cletus had 16,000 and James had 9,000. Do the math my friend. If Allan stands now, he will be the only one from the area. His base vote will be at least 55,000. This is a solid assesment. We do not need, Angoram, Wewak or Yangoru/Saussia, we have more than 50% of the vote. If the other 3 open electorates vote for Somare, we can still win. Our Abelam people are very honest people, they will vote this way, we did it in 2002 and we will do it again. In fact, without Allan's knowledge we have all agreed to vote this way and we are all waiting for him to make his intentions known. FYI, we have suffered enough these last 38 years under the royal Somare family.
2. Somare's myth needs to be destroyed. Somare is goind a great job of that right now.
3. We have to ensure that the Police in ESP and the electoral office there are impartial. We know what Kabilo did to help Somare in the last election to defeat our candidate.
So please friend, yu ken toktok nating, tasol use your head, we are real people and we have suffered enough. Have some understanding, this is serious business fit for serious people. |
