There are multiple factors affecting PNG why it is so rich with natural resources but resource poor.

      1. The neo-colonialistic and patenalistic attitude of Australia destroying PNG image abroad whilst silently getting rich from PNG agricultural and mineral resources. This is not to say that Australia as development partner is bad but that its development goals for PNG must to bring PNG out of current problem of governance and corruption which Australia is a party to it.

      a) Compare Revenue from mineral resources gained by Australian Minning
Companies compared to what PNG gets. Also, the Australian drafted constitution of PNG on Mineral resources that said, "Anything below 30 cm belongs to the State" and Australia has used that successfully ever since the Panguna Copper Mine era and still continues today.

      b) Compare the Trade barriers created by Australia on PNG Agicultural food crops entering Australian markets whilst small island countries like Samoa, Tonga and Fiji can export to Australia and New Zealand.

      C) Compare Australia Advise to PNG Government and who has benefit most, Australia, e.g., Recent Kondu mine saga (Letter from Canberra to Minister for Mining and Petrolium) and the ICT policy (drafted by Australian Law Firm) with NEC. If Kondu and ICT fails, it will send wrong signal to the world not to invest in PNG so Australia will continue its paternalistic agenda.

      d) AusAID has heavy hand with Education System, Formalistic Education system adopted has create alienation from the community, the failed Grade 10 undergoing secondary schools in Australia, and the current Educational Structure and Curriculum reforms that demise the intellectual development.

      2) Implications of Look North Policy. Asian morons in PNG are manipulating peoples' attitude problems to their advantage. This by educating or training PNGeans towards high level of Synchronized corruption and Bribery at high offices right down to the village level. This asian are all over the place

      a) PNG goverment made a right decision with look North Policy but that should not be to invite Asians to do business here. It should have being for technical training purposes. We should learn technical skills from them to convert our resources to tangible goods and live a civilise life.

      b) Unlike Whites they are good at manipulating attitude problems and utilising loop holes in the policy for their advantage. Pornography issues, prostitution and gambling are riddled in the highlands region, Lae, POM, etc but are not reported besides immigration issues.

      c) Corruption with bribery and illegal activities is their norm though they may have money. PNG is already drugged with their venom and now it will take top down approach to eliminate it.

      d) Rinbunan Hijau, Melaysia logging company has 60 different company operating in PNG and PNG government is already in its pocket. Just imagine how all the PNG politicians went to camp at Warangoi and who knows what???? Also the Forestry minister in the last term gets rich over night.

      3) PNGs Attitude problems, which has multiplier effects such as corruption, law and order problems, lack of governance, greed, selfishness, etc.

      a) Politicians are corrupt, not honest, trusted, lack discipline and commitment to serve the country. Some of them are bunch of half baked bread (not educated to think outside of their box).

      b) Bureaucrates and technocrats and corrupt and riddled with bribery.

      c) Public servants are corrupt and want service fee to do any job that they are paid for.

      d) Grassroots are beginning to feel the pain of poor governance and economic hardship. They are turning to look for easy means to get quick money to survive. These create cargo cult mentality, wantok system becoming protectionist system where they protect each to cause law and order problems.

      e) The corruption and attitude problems emanates from the environmental influence one has been exposed to such as education, peers and work places, policy and regulations of the country.

      f) This problems started in the 1990 and got worse. We may need to reflect back on our environmental influences, may it be from Asia or Western Countries.

There is no simple solution. If every PNGeans from Grassroot to a Politician can be honest, self discipline and make a complete change in attitude problem, this country will progress then regressing.

      4. The current snake that is sucking the economy of PNG is the InterOil. Every thing PNG does is through fuel and fuel is the nerve centre. InterOil is sucking the lifeline of PNG and people in the island and remote rural mainland are suffering now. With globalisation and technology innovation dynamics in the world, competition is useful but PNG government decided not to allow that. I wonder who was the minister at that time and allow InterOil to take over all fuel retails in PNG.

The minister at that time had two ministries; Ministry of Petrolium and Environment. The current minister for Environment (Hon Benny Allen) reveal that 3 companies wanted to corrupt him and he refused. This means that the former minister had something to hide because the InterOil saga come up toward the end of last year and he is still the Petrolium minister but has not make any public comments and refer the matter to the NEC.
