In total support of Francis Awesa

Satan is boss of Parlt: MP

“SATAN’’ is the boss of the National Parliament, Imbonggu MP Francis Awesa told a huge crowd at Banz, Western Highlands Province, on Saturday.
Mr Awesa attributed corruption by leaders and governments to his belief that the Parliament was ruled by “Satan’’.
Mr Awesa was speaking at the launch of a five-year North Wahgi District Plan.
He said the last five years had been riddled with nothing but corruption and this had brought the country to its knees in terms of service delivery.
The MP said the Somare Government had passed supplementary budget one after another but those budgets had not trickled down to the bulk of the population.
Infrastructure and service delivery was far worse despite these supplementary budgets and the Government claiming surplus funds.
Mr Awesa said leaders and bureaucrats involved in the abuse of powers and misuse public funds must be held accountable and sent to prison.
The deputy leader of PNG Party said despite the many reports and allegations of corruption in high places, leaders and senior public servants allegedly involved in corruption and misuse of public funds, were still walking free.
The laws seemed to favour them while ordinary people were sent to jail for trivial matters.
He also said politicians and bureaucrats who allegedly got rich overnight must be investigated so that the people knew the sources of their riches.
