The G. Chief knows exactly where the loopholes are to capitalise on and make his return to the chair, which is now occupied by one of his own followers, whom he had trained and groomed up. Oneil probably knows where the buck stops. The fight is still on. The greatest warrior will be seen after this fight. The suspension of elections to 6 months is about making sure the elections don’t fail in the highlands region especially when the common roll update is in absolute mess. This is the agenda for discussion now on the table. All in all, a failed election in the highlands region will surely create a vacuum and opportunity for the GC to step in and reclaim the chair. Oneil knows this loophole better. The CEO of EC knows this too, but obviously hiding away from the fact. This means the delay in the common roll update in the highlands region will now be seen as a conspiracy between the EC and GC to ensure the leaders of the current regime especially from the highlands region don’t return so the GC can remain comfortable to form the next government. |
