You are unbelievably naive to think that any mediocre leader is going to choose an excellent leader to take over for them. Did some African white dictator "choose" Nelson Mandela to take over? What about the Burmese leader, did anyone "choose" her to take over? Put the military in charge and at least 90% of the time, they keep the power and start putting their little fingers into the same money pots that the pollies before them were stealing from.
Why do you say Nonggorr, who is a known serial womaniser who thinks of his weewee first and others second, would be a great leader? Once in power, he'd still be thinking of himself and his weewee first, and the people of PNG second.
You cannot wish for great leaders. The great leaders themselves must step forward and right now there is no space for them in PNG because the space is filled up with the people WE VOTE FOR -- womanising, gambling drunkards who feel that their 5 years in parliament is their big change to become multi-millionaires. AND WE VOTE THESE PEOPLE IN!!!! |
