I am not from madang province but I admire Peter Yama and Peter Bata. They both are the best choice for the people of Madang province. They are colourful leaders with brain who are capable of developing Madang into another city of Papua New Guinea. Over the years I have head and seen their tireless effords for the unprevillaged from the remote parts of madang. Time to choose is nearing do not have second thoughts I assure you that they are the best leaders the people of madang can have no mistakes about that.
Is there any truth to the rumour that PNG Solicitor General, John Kawi, is running?
January 23 2002, 1:17 PM
Is there a chance that John Kawi is running?
Politicians have been trying to sack him after he said no to Ogio when Ogia ordered he settle a case for K20 million with a political crony of Ogio's. He said that it was not in the interests of the PNG people that he do that. They have been trying to sack him ever since. PNG needs someone like him.
January 24 2002, 12:26 PM
Yes, he is contesting Sumkar Open. Yama is probably contesting the same seat. Barter is contesting Madang Open. Everybody's going for the open seats 'cos there'll be no more regional seats after 2002.
January 24 2002, 12:28 PM
You admire that crook Peter Yama? Do you know why we got rid of him in Sumkar? Simply because he is a self-serving funckin' crook. You must be crook yourself to admire crooks!
January 30 2002, 8:22 PM
I hope you know your MP well enough to call Mr Yama a crook. Just ask your people about how much your MP has done to date. I guess you'll be suprised. Is Jim Kas any better? Do you call him a crook? I hope you find someone better than Yama in you electorate.
Re: sumkar mp
January 31 2002, 5:58 AM
Yes, there is someone better than your hero Peter Yama. There is someone better than the current MP. And he has a very chance of winning - much better chance than Peter Yama, if he decides to contest Sumkar. That candidate's name is JOHN KAWI.
February 2 2002, 10:30 PM
If ya reckon JK is your saviour then good luck. Will wait and see.
February 3 2002, 11:49 AM
Yes, he is the saviour. You just wait and see.
March 26 2002, 8:00 AM
Yes, you can wait and see for yourself. JKawi is the saviour for the people of Sumkar, not this ****in PYama
Yama for PM?
February 8 2002, 12:45 PM
Yama wants to run the country. Look at his businesses. Smugglers Inn in receivership. Yama Security same. Nesenal 77, his property company, is having its properties sold off by PNGBC - see Post-Courier clessifieds over the past few days. No reputable business house in Madang has allowed him credit for years. Creditors demanding payment are threatened with guns. Why does he want to run the country? TO STEEL YET MORE MONEY! Anyone who supports this low-life is either a crook or stupid.
Re: Yama for PM?
February 8 2002, 4:42 PM
Definitely mate! That's how he expanded his businesses. I wonder why people are so funckin' blind to that. The crook has been there and done it.. Yet sections of the media (perhaps already in Yama's pocket while with another tongue call for all out war against corruption) want to portray him as the messiah.. the man to save PNG, following him around everywhere he's going to launch his party. They portray him as the new kid on the block. But he's not a new kid, is he? He's been there. He was a member of the government that ****ed up this country. He was a minister in the government that spent millions of ****in' kina on some mercenaries to kill our own people. Why is he being proclaimed by some as the new messiah?
Perhaps, members of the media need to really ask questions about people like Yama, rather than jumping on his bandwagon and singing Halleluia to the saviour!
Check Yama's backyard....
March 29 2002, 11:25 PM
Serious investigative investogator's should also check out how Yama - a grade drop-out, a constable from a remote goegraphical location without much going in terms of economic development would fork out the 'start-up capital to finance his security firm.
Is it any wonder the accelerated grwoth in the number of $1 secuirty firms growing like weeds in PNG. There's a strong positive correlation between growth in security firms and escalating crime. Catch the drift!!!
I'd be least surprised if some of this so-called security firms aren't actually involved in perpetuating crime which gives them more business and dollars!
Serious social scientist's student could do a thesis on this....
Peter Barter is the BEST in PNG...he should be the choice for PM
March 26 2002, 12:46 AM
I wish to take this opportunity to ask the good people of Madang to re-elect Peter Barter back into Parliament. I don't care which electorate but just throw the man back into Parliament. That is where he rightfully belong. Con artists student leaders like Jim Kas screwed the good Madang peoples reputation..
Peter Barter is truly a very good naturalised Madang and PNG citizen..I have heard from alot of Madang people that they regreted dumping Peter Barter in the last elections...Peter Barte is your man!!!!! ol lain Madang....harim na votim em...
Everyone in PNG knows what he does and how he gets out of his way to use is personal recources to assist people from all over Madang Province.......GREAT GUY.....Perfect Leader for PNG...
If I had to choose amongst all Pollies of PNG (including Yama) for PM...Peter Barter is my choice for Prime Ministership.........It seems all hardore melanesians have demonstrated that they are absolutely incapable....why don't we try out a naturalised citizen like Barter.....I think he will be honest....thats my bet....
Your comments please..
Not a white PM!
March 26 2002, 7:36 AM
Are you crazy? Who cares if he's a naturalized citizen, he's WHITE and there's no way we will have a white PM in PNG. This isn't bloody South Africa!!
Grow up you racist...little pikinini
March 26 2002, 8:34 AM
Your argument is fundamentally baseless and flawed...how can you use South Africa as a reason to justify your pointless argument.
You donot seem to appreciate the facts about Peter Barter's contribution both as an individual and a politician. He has gone out of his way to personally assist the helpless people throughout Madang province and has single-handedly conrtibuted immensely to tourism within Madang and PNG...
How can you be so biased based on his race...You are real IDIOT in my opinion. Grow up and face the reality you racist bigot..
yu longlong het..
Yes, Throw him back where he belong - MEMBER in Parliment
April 3 2002, 11:48 AM
I don't know your approach for SIR PETER BARTER.....
RACIST???...or maybe just trying to see if he had the support?
He have been serving Madang, not the urban only but the rural area including the remotes part of the Province for donkey years (As a member or not).
Regardless of which seat he will ran for as a candidate, this is an appeal to the people to throw him back in Parliment. That is where he belong.
He is the right man (YOU WON'T REGRET)
May 23 2002, 2:08 PM
Yu little pathetic ****. He's done more in PNG than any other elected MP, and he's white so what!! He's got more brains than our local MP's.
April 30 2002, 9:41 AM
Good Comments there !
I think Peter Barter is "the man" the madanag people were crazy not to have voted him then, lets hope they don't make the same mistake again.
Im not from Madang but i wish he was my member ! He is consistent in his work for helping Madang improve, he'll serve the province well.
Good on you Mr. Barter you trully are a man of some essence.
May 26 2002, 6:07 PM
I agree, Ptere Barter is currently the only logical choice for Madang. He should get PM because he has the corage, integrity and honesty to be it, unlike most of the MP's we have now. Who cares what colour his skin is, he is Papua new Guinean!
Re: Peter Barter is the BEST in PNG...he should be the choice for PM
June 19 2006, 9:12 PM
I like the opportunity please proceed
Re: Madangs only HOPE - Yama & Bata
March 26 2002, 8:03 AM
Yeah, Peter Bater is but not this ****in thick head highlander peter Yama. He is a crook
March 26 2002, 8:08 AM
Take it easy, Highlanders bring business into that dead little town. Yama may be a crook but the fact that he's a highlander has nothing to do with it.
I don't see any Madang people leading the way in business there. Barter is white and the rest of the biggest business men in that town are not from there.
Maybe you should work on your enterprenourial skills.
March 29 2002, 5:37 PM
True, I strongly support you. Highlanders are business minded and have contributed lots to the development of the nation. And some sting coconut is always blaming highlanders for every country's problem.
Whoever you are, try get some proper education or entrepreneurial skills so you can help you people.
Re: Madangs only HOPE - Yama & Bata
March 29 2002, 6:25 PM
I wish to respond to few questions raise for peter yama as PM,we all konw peter yama is a successfull businessman and owns yama group(12 companies)and employees well over 700 people,he has been educated to graduate 8, he may have business experinces and political experiences, but when it comes to managing a country with four million people, we need leaders with innovative and creatice mind big scale wide areas of economics, poltics, social, international to attract investors, and creating employment, does he got the qualities to be innovative,
Because PNG,we have a big problem in management,
please let us look careful with wisdom and choice our laeders,we must have a dream like our role model Mr nelson mandela, money and cargo can not by wisdom, think
Peter Barter,,ask Bill White
April 3 2002, 11:12 AM
Sir Peter Barter Yes not Yama
May 17 2002, 9:06 PM
We all know from Sir Peter's track record. Madang needs him so as PNG. But Yama, I doubt it. He has got lots of question marks on his past and even his current motive is clear - very noisy compaign speeches all around PNG.
Business interests will take the center stage of his will and deals and he is no different to other MPs recently implicated on the misuse of Gaming Board monies. They made lots of noises and deceitfull promises and got voted into the parliament. Once in there, you can now realise how the people have been fooled into voting these crooks.
So Madang people, wake up and do not vote this empty head into the parliament.
Peter Yama - Dangerous Choice
June 5 2002, 12:09 AM
All die hards for P Yama will be the sadest voters as soon as Yama gets voted in.
Ask yourself what good Yama has done for the general public in Madang or else where in PNG as a Money man? What reputable contribution did he give the country during his previous term in parliament? All we know about him is a very self centered person. A person who's still has alot of questions to answer to.
You can see how desperate he is at this time in his campaigns. He just wants to get into parliament to fill his pockets and rescue his businesses that are runing down, due to the type of person he is.
I tell you Yama fan, Your Yama will not be the real savour you like in PNG politics. Yama is another dangerous Wingti, self centered personels!
Yes Bata, No Yama
June 5 2002, 12:26 AM
Whoever that Racist talking in a coward mental state should abstain talking in these pages.
Bata appears to be one of the few discent PNG politicians. For the sake of PNG such a person should be voted by that talking skum brain!
Localising positions in PNG was an issue vigorously pursued which saw the exodus of many honest, hard working qualified foriegners from PNG.
I guess if by chance we open up and allow foriegners back into most positions in the PNG public service, statutory bodies or even parliament, the country could save abit more money from the millions and hundred thousands of kina that our greedy local politicians steal from the public purse.
Peter Bata is a PNG citizen and certainly has the leadership qualities that this country badly needs. Whoever that racist who wrote in this page is an unfortunate psychotic that even has a brain to use a computer to express his stupidity.
Concerned PNG citizen
Highlanders Negative Eccmics
June 5 2002, 12:42 AM
I do not wish to be regionalistic here but wish to respond to Anonymous who says highlanders bring more wealth to PNG through business activities. Hey guys if you look properly with true brains, Highlands provinces seem to use up alot of money for the country through alot of corrupt deals. This is reflected in the record number of highlands provinces getting suspended each year, most of the law and order problems are centered around the highlands and most of all their beloved Tribal Offensives absorb so much money that can help PNG to enjoy some real developments.
With that please shut up stupid generalisations! Including mine............#@........which may be tru..!!!!
Re: Peter Yama - Dangerous Choice
June 5 2002, 12:29 AM
Hey, it is good that you know something about Yama but do not ever put Wingti into his shoes. People may not like Wingti but tell you what he's going to make it now. He's defeating Father Lak. If you have wantoks in and around WHP tell them go for Wingti.
June 5 2002, 12:46 AM
Yu may vote your Wingti, I don't even admire your seer Lak, he equally needs disposing off!
