Bart Philmon & Mekere Moratau's Political PartyJune 18 2006 at 6:15 PM | Will |
| Hi,
I am an intending candidate for the coming election and would like to contest under this two gentlemen's party. I hear they are forming a political party, if so can someone highlight me and give me their contacts please. They are the best leaders so far.

Since you're joining their party, maybe you can tell us how they're coming up with their campaign money. There was a posting earlier that indicates Philemon is laundering government money through lawyer Paul Paraka?????????? |

Will,
Do not let yourself be traded into the horsecart, wait and let them launch their party first. Go and grab a copy of their manifesto then, convert yourself thru it to see there is no wheezing - its the important document that guides any political party.
Besides, although you raise your hand to contest under their yet-to-born party, the party officials are the final legitimate judges who screen whom to sponsor (among many candidates).
Lets live to walk by individual principles.

This is the first I've heard that PNG political parties have a kind of document called a manifesto. Thanks for providing this info-do you know any more about this paper ie where exactly you can get it (I don't even know how to contact the political parties most of them aren't in the phone book) etec.
Any further advise info would be very helpful! |

Will,
Thanks alot. Iam an advocate of good governance and occasionally contribute to any discussion interesting to me (on scape boards).
Manifesto is basically the complete set of a political party policy (written statements), usually open to the public. Curved and architected by core founders of a certain political party, it stipulates what they (MPs) believe in and what they intend to do (when in power). Candidates sponsored by a certain party are expected to fully understand the party policies - a vital aspect required by each party.
I dont know where you can obtain them but, Registerer of Political Parties and direct contact to the political party offices will atleast help you out.
Cowgirl is a natures girl - nowhere near politics.
Goodluck. |
