Australian Inteligence have our men on their payroll

ASS, Australia's Security Service is having most of the PNGDF senior officials and ex-PNGDF on their payroll the highest payed Aud $ 5000.00 (PGK10,000) to Aud$2000.00 (PGK4000.00). When Alex Downer spoke with his actions he already knew the intel. 110% acurate from our own men reporting to him directly that Grand Chief Somare was directly involved in the Moti saga. We dont have any choice do we ? due to the poor pay and living conditions we all face so we all might as well sell information for extra bucks to make ends meet. A sorry state and a sorry country it is, Papua New Guinea.

Than how can we criticise australia from barring somare when their reason for doing so is absolutely correct. In the end all they are blocking is a criminal.

For Criminal Course - Thats OK

My concern is that PNG can't look after itself therefore money can buy people to be agents of another country. PNG might as well be the 7th state of Australia and forget about its indepent bull. If every citizen has a price to provide much of its secret informations (not only Motis case)to another country then it does not deserve to be called a country. Young PNGeans must be in control over the oldies after 2007.

Firstly, you should have proof for such a serious allegation and secondly, what this guy said is completely right. If the intel is true, then Australia had every right for taking drastic action against Somare and his government all along because everybody knows that people in the PNG government cannot be trusted.

people, stop the nonsense. we knew from beforehand the old man was involved from the very begining. you dont need more than what has been leaked to the media to make such a conclusion. every PNGan knows deep inside that our old man took part in the descision making - to fly moti out of the country. if aussie's had agents within PNG, well, fair enough. nature will reward such people for their actions.

even if it is untrue that the old man was behind all these, the core issue of the matter is what matters. we know that the moti issue is just a side-line and it only helped to escalate a already brewing diplomatic raw between the island nations and aussie. having said that, let's see what is the real outcome of our stand-off and what we want to achieve out of it as a nation. every descision made should have an action planned to take alternative routes if anything goes wrong. our-stand off with the aussies must have alternatives. if we are definite about reducing aid, plan b should be in place to make the substitute.

the current action is a turning point in PNG's national history. it must be considered seriously and very carefully because we are trying to lead the nation into a phase of governance that we have never been before. such a move requires committment and dedication from our leaders and senior nationals but that is unbecoming given our continued lack of accountability and transferency in governance.

well, the unexpected has happened!...anything goes in the wild wild west...lets see how we can manage of out this and why not? PNG is a young country. if a democratic government is not the efficient means of serving the people, why not try socialism? maybe the old man has gone the right direction, seeking assistance from the Cubans. so far, ALBA, the regional trade agreement between latin american countries has so far been hailed are success and the underlying concepts of the agreement are nothing more than the melanesian barter system of exchanging goods and services for other goods and services. PNG needs to consider the driving factors that have exhilirated other developing countries like singapore, malaysia and cuba to be where they are now and adopt their concepts in our economic policies. the aussie way will never work. we have tried it for the last 31 years and what we see now is the best it can give.

over to you think-tanks.

We all know that every Tom Dick & Harry in PNG are doing just what you have said right now and past too but hey we are trying to discuss the matter now so we all can be aware. You see it is not what every body want like to be on the Aussies payroll selling all sensitive information to the Australians but our political climate and social hardship creat such situation where prostitution of inteligence is truely at its best at this very moment. If we all look at it very carefully it all boils down to our STUPID POLITICIANS past and present for this current mess / situation that PNG is in. The comander Peter Ilau and other senior and retrenched officers are part of this sensitive info. prostitution that is going on. If only NIO can access their bank accounts here and overseas they will find incomming funds which does not have PNG origin or documentation.
