People I'm from the highlands of PNG and I see that we all need a new Prime Minister after 2007.

What do you think about my suggestion of Sir Arnold Amet for Prime Minister in 2007?

All the 109 memebers of parliament are hopeless. PNG cannot afford to vote them in again, not even Sir Somare. It's time for new people and I see that Sir Arnold Amet is one very qualified and experienced Papua New Guinean that deserves to be our next Prime Minister.

Sir Amet should contest for Karkar Open or maybe Madang Regional and come in as our Prime Minister next year.

Please make comments on this or any other Papua New Guineans you deem fit to captain PNG in 2007 and beyond.

Agree,,,,but everyone knows that he is a National Alliance man. That doesn't matter. He can lead.


also include; Sir Peter Barter, Bire Kimisopa, Dr. Banare Bund and Dr. Bob Danaya plus, maybe Sir Mekere and Lady Kidu.

i have no reservation. Sir Arnold should be the next PM. Why cant he contest with a NA banner. He would surely move in PM with no problem.

I know Sir Arnold and I vouch for him. He would be the perfect PM.

Sir Amet is a great man and the country needs him. I admire his role in the Justice sector. He was a great role model in the public sector who spoke against corruption without fear nor favour. However, I do not agree on him being the PM. I would rather think that he be the Minister for Justice if he past the post. Our laws need a total revamp and such a person of his calibre will help PNG alot in amending and setting laws necessary for the advancement of law and order and protection of the society (country).

The PM job should go to Sir Mekere, Deputy PM to Bart, Finance Minister to Bire, and Justice to Sir Amet. It is time we put credible people according to their specialty areas, only then can change be viable and visible. This is the likely setting for next cabinet.

This is my layman view..and not to discredit anyone.

If I get the PM somehow, I would appoint credible people to positions / ministries they are suitable for. For instance, I would give Justice Minister to Sir Arnold Amet, Health Minister to Dr. Puka Temu, Tourism Minister to Sir. Peter Barter, Womens Minister to Lady Kidu, Civil Aviation to Moses Maladina, National Broadcasting and Communications to Sir Michael Somare, etc. Give them to people who have been senior officers in those fields before entering politics.

Also, other senior positions should be given to people who'll be competent and deseve it the most, not to cronies and crooks.
