THIEF PETER YAMA WANTS TO BE PM

April 13 2007 at 10:01 AM
Ailan Silip Sore

Another Thief Peter Yama the member for Usino Bundi wants to be PM. His district of Usino is THE most underveloped district in Madang. The roads and bridges to Bundi have collapsed. The bastard has been thriving on his con-deals when he was transport minister or something in the past. His hotels and con security company are on the verge of collapse. 3 of his 4 wives are having extramarital affairs and he wants to be PM. What a load of crap. Come on PNG wake up to these con people.

THE NATIONAL NEWSPAPER

Yama wants to become next PM

USINO/Bundi MP and People’s Labour Party (PLP) leader Peter Yama wants to be the next prime minister of PNG.
He told a rally in Markham, Morobe province, on Wednesday that he was confident that this time, he would get the position because his party had selected people who stood a very good chance of winning the elections this year.
“PLP has endorsed 55 candidates throughout the country and 21 of them were runners-up in the 2002 national election in their electorate.
“We expect to win more than 15 seats in the coming elections,” he told a gathering of over 3,000 people at Mutzing.
Mr Yama said he had put his mind and heart into achieving his ambition to become PNG’s next prime minister but if he should loose, he would quit politics.
He said PLP expected to win most of the seats it was contesting in the Momase region and this number would be supported by the candidates who would join from the Highlands and other regions.
Mr Yama said he was yet to decide whether to run for the Madang regional or defend his Usino/Bundi seat.
He said he had the support of Morobe Governor Luther Wenge and his People’s First Party and they would support each other in the campaign.
Mr Wenge, who witnessed the launching at Mutzing, handed over Koni Iguan, the PLP candidate for Markham Open to Mr Yama.

Peter Yama Thief or Saviour!

April 13 2007, 10:12 AM

Mr. Peter Yama is an empty Drum and is no where near being a Prime Minister. We the people of Usino-Bundi made the biggest blunder in sending this person in and he is such an empty drum so was his predecessor, Mr George Wan.

Like most other MP’s in Parliament, he is a thief at a grand scale, bribery, corruption and such are his game. We the people of Usino-Bundi found him to be one of the most corrupt Politicians alive.!!! He is not retaining his seat or defend Usino-Bundi seat its better for him to run for Regional. If you are a Peter Yama fan out there, just bring them on…..Mangi Bundi is waiting to hear them all.

Mangi Bundi,

Bundi does not have any other candidate that has his/her eyes on the Prime Minister seat than Yama.

I do not care if he does become the next Prime Minister.

However, in order to get a "MAN" into Parliament, "YAMA" is one. The Bundi people will make a grave mistake by getting another Tukya Theodore into Parliament.

Please do comment responsibily. Whatever affiliation you may have, keep it to yourself and go and vote.

Bundi people are in need of roads, schools, and aid posts and Yama has delivered in his current term or in his previous term as the Member for Sumkar.

Remember the 1996 opening of the Mondia road? That is how smart, strategic, and influential Yama is.

We cannot wish for good leadership. We have to make do with what we have. And among the current lot, Yama is still not bad.

Until I see a strong, young and vibrant leader out of Bundi, I am sticking on with YAMA!!!

Wilhelm, thanks for the comment, but I will not simply buy that junk that you stated here. You’re asserting that Yama open the Road at Mondia in 1996. That road over the Bundi Gap was opened before 1996, and Yama when he became the Works Minister. He maintained the road, and that is not District road, it was National Road link by the than government of the day. That little detail, you do not know, and jacketing that with words like, influence, smart, and strategic. I do not think that is smart, it’s just duty, and the call to perform.

I simply do not see Peter Yama as Prime Minister Material. I firmly believe,( pity for the locals in the Village ) he does not have a Prime Minister caliber. On what category of platforms one can rank him in the top, I let you decide. I have already decided mine.

We Bundi’s do not need Yama or even Theordore. They both botched their duty call to the people of the District. That fact is true, but did Mr. Yama deliver the roads and Health services.? Yama play the ricochet technique and look good on paper. You know who takes the lions share of the whole saga. I bet you have no idea what you are talking about.

One buys a broken down Bull-dozer or vehicle and give it to the people of Usino-Bundi. Where did that come from? Mr Yama’s personal company. When it breaks down who maintains that?.......I just feel that you are adding salt to the wound.

Mr. Wilhelm, you seemed to know much about him, but I hope that little detail again will never surface.

There are vibrant, young and energetic leaders in Bundi and they will surface so that is to say, Yama is not the only person we have, I think you are wrong. Could you explain to the People of Sumkar about their past with Peter Yama…and could you please explain to the District of Usino-Bundi what tangible development Yama has done in the District.

I am no intending candidate and I do not have any one that I am interested in….but I personally see Yama as a corrupt Politician. My friend, Wilhelm, the people will speak in 2007….and so be it.

Doesn't Peter Yama own his own road construction company that just happens to get the work? Sounds to me like corruption.

Yama - Far from being PM

April 15 2007, 10:08 PM

Fellows, Yama does not even has the attributes to be a PM. He is corrupt and even steals in broad day light from the government.

His company - Yama Security is profiting from milions paid as damages and loss of business with exorbant charges and interest rates...what good is it to a PM whose intention is to take from the government and not to give to the government or what he can do for the country.

Do you think such as person is worth the highest job of he country....hahahahah . He has a right to try but people will not make him rule..People are not stupid anymore but are wise now.

At least, as a leader, he would say I will not charge so much for the government but to charge a reasonable amount for compensation. This will make him a better person but his actions have already levelled against his desire...shame. What kind of leader is he when "he only takes from government but does not give to the government"?? He is a good leader but there are too many loopholes for him.

Bundy people, the power is now in your good hands to decide who gets in and out.

Yama, Talk good on paper, but we do not need someone who can play dirty in the back and act like a Christian. "Mi putim God igo pas"....that such sacriledge language just to buy votes. The people of Madang and Usino-Bundi should not vote him in. It is one thing to be vocal in parliament, but another whole issue about your public life and transparency. He can't look after his own little district, so wonder what he can do for this country. Sampela tingting tasol

Peter Yama is a thief from ENGA

April 16 2007, 4:42 PM

The Madangs will still vote for this thief from Enga. Peter Yama is a bastard child of an Enga man. His mother then married a Bundi man who wasted time raising him. He has no Bundi blood in him. Infact the Bundis and Madangs people are so stupid that they will keep voting this thief from Enga.

OK...A crook and corrupt man, Mr. Yama is. I totally agree with all these allegations about him but please, is there a need to go as far as calling him a bastard from another man and drag the whole family into this? What's the fact that he was is a bastard got to do with this? Stick to the argument about Peter Yama rather than drag his family into this especially his poor father.

I agree with you Gende.......There is no need to drag his family life into this. Lets stick to the fact about his Political career and leadership quality than his family and background. If he is seen as a Crook Politician, than we all see that, but whether he is an Engan by Birth or not, that is beside this. We are all Papua New Guineans and regardless of which tribe or clan one originates from..that is less significant. But I am wondering whether he is contesting the Usino-Bundi Seat or running elsewhere. I hope he can make his famous speech at Bundi.......ol pipol bilong mi, Bundi, bai ino moa karim mounten bag"...after five years, still wondering if that speech will be aired again.

Latest goss is that Yama is contesting the regional seat for Madang. I can only hope and pray that the madang people grow some wisdom and not put him in power as the reason for him contesting is very obvious...and that is the power to control all the economic actitity in the province. It is a real concern for all of Madang.

Peter Yama has Businesses and base in Madang

April 17 2007, 11:37 AM

Peter Yama does have his relatives just like everyone else.
His mum is from Laigam - Enga province where Peter grew up and did his primary school. This is nothing unique. There is no fuss with that.

The usual name calling and mud throwing in politics is ripe in this discussion.
Say it politics and nothing more

well, the ball is in your(the people of madang) court now. the decision is with you right now with the election just around the corner. if you were politically clever like peter yama than you would definitely play it right (vote the right person). if you think he is corrupt, why are you throwing muds at each in here? do the right thing this coming election.

my advice here is go for the right leader who you think will take care of your needs and concerns.

good luck...come election 2007.

In PNG, anyone over 18 and sane can be elected MP and if he/she can muster the numbers, can become PM. So what's wrong with Yama aspiring to become the next PM? Whether it is Bart, Ipatas, Wingti, Somare, Chan, Namaliu, Yama, or any other of those 109 chicken $hit heads, we will have a PM in 2008.

Friends of Madang,

Let me fill you in the latest with Yama in Madang.

Yama wants to be Governor of Madang and he wants to be PM, he indicated that he will run Regional seat because of the Ramu Nickel Project and that there is money to be bled from the provincial coffers.

The truth is, he is not popular in Madang. Everyone knows he is a crook. That is why he won't contest Madang Open. Having heard this Alois Kingsley, member for Madang has decided to go after Yama in the Regional Seat as well, Kingsley said, "It is not important for me to be an MP, it is even more important that Yama never becomes Governor of Madang".

Yama's son Junior is running Usino/Bundi, while Agatha Yama, one of Peter's many wives is running for Madang Open.

If the senior Yama continues to go for the Regional Seat he will surely lose and be out for good. That is why, he might even go back and run Usino/Bundi and kick his son out. Over there he is up against Anton Yagama, a son of Bundi so that will be interesting. Yama's only chance to become PM is to run Usino/Bundi. He won't win anywhere else because the people are not stupid anymore.

Madang Regional has 3 main heavy weights, Jim Kas, Ricky Kumung and Sir Arnold Ahmet. FYI.

Yep, Kingsley and Yama are in fact FIRST COUSINS. Agatha Yama is actually Mr. Yama's first true wife who helped him through the darker days when Yama was still a nobody trying to get established. Once he became a big shot, he accumulated all the mistresses afterwards. His latest concubine is a Gold Digger from Papua somewhere. After all the misery that Mr. Yama put Agi Yama through, she still stood by him and has now actually left him for good I heard. She definately has my vote for Madang open.
As for Mr. Yama, such a clown who cannot even mantain his family affairs properly and now wants to run Madang Province......There is seriously something wrong with that nut.

I just do not care, if they lived in Madang for over a decade, whosoever takes that office will benefit his little clan, tribe and forget the rest of the natives of the Province. They will take your money from Madang and go and Develop their own tribe and families…….In the last two elections, Madangs voted in outsiders and you see what our Beautiful Madang disappeared into? This thread is about YAMA; not Catherine Mal

April 20 2007, 3:11 PM

It is sad to see some of you degrading Catherine Mal in this Forum because she is not the subject of this discussion.

For the record, Catherine is from Amele, So Village to be exact, her father's first name is Mal, hence the name. She is not a crook, her husband may or may not be a crook, he left the country 8 years ago.

I know Catherine personally and I would say that she is the person best suited to be member for Madang. She has a very strong social conscience and does alot of work for battered wives, womens groups and she does HIV/AIDS awareness amongst the prostitutes of Madang late at night. When the Black Jesus cult was broken up, Catherine fronted the court house and asked the court to free the 30 young flower girls that the police had jailed. She cared for them at her home at her expense (with help from some of us) and then she slowly released them back to their villages. This women has more heart for the people of Madang than anyone I know. She does things like this not for fame or glory but because she cares.

I talked her out of contesting the Madang Open seat this year because of the kinds of things some of you are saying about her in this forum.

Catherine is not contesting Madang Open, she has decided to support two candidates, she is running Stanley Pil's campaign for Madang Open and she is running Sir Arnold Ahmet's campaign for the Regional Seat. Stanley Pil, because he has a record of supporting women's activities and Sir Arnold, because she says Madang needs a leader like him. She uses her own resources to support these two gentleman.

So ol wantok, unless you are going to be out there sacrificing your time and money to change your province, do not criticise others who are not talking but doing the thing. It is also unfair to criticise people without proof.

All the Wali's and I will be backing her for Madang Open in 2012.
