It hasnt worked so far even though it is the ideal system. Besides nor will the 'Melanesian Way'. What we need is a forced change involving a popular uprising to put someone with integrity. If a person with a real heart for PNG has ultimate control then we will truly change. for the better.

Tingim, there is no perfect democracy...

Please give us some ideas on who the best kick ass revolutionary to take over PNG would be? First, they have to be honest and committed. Second, they have to lead by good example. Third, they have to be radical, not one of these silly looking penguin suited kind of people like our traditional PNG leaders are. They look pathetic, like badly dressed Aussies with black faces.

Please give some ideas on PNG revolutionaries. that fit the above criteria. I personally wonder if any such people exist.

Which would help explain why we're in such a mess with the pathetic kinds of leaders we have to put up with.

In png we have different type of democracy it is called "Hyptrocarcy" ie f

orm of democracy ran by a bunch of hypocrites.

The one reason why a dictatorshop/ one person rule.. wont happen is because we are a diverse group of cultures...eg. a person from Tari has nothing in common with a Motuan. Thats why there will never be an uprising...untill things get reeaaally bad. We all think of ourselves and our people. Believe me..there is no sense of national identity in the way it should be. Our little groups will end up in inaction and it will be too late. And honestly i dont know the answer to our problems. Its all been too much left till to late and now its building up.

You don't have to rule all the provinces or tribes to rule the country.

All you have to do is control Moresby.

I guarantee you that there could be an uprising, particularly from the settlements and control Moresby.

Once you control Moresby, it doesn't matter if the rest of the country is doing it's own thing.

Now that i think about it, that's already what's happening isn't it!!! (smile)
