Now Mr NPF Corruption says he will investigate corrupt people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

May 27 2007 at 5:43 PM
aaa ha hahahahahahaha!!!!

I laughed so hard I nearly died when I read this from the Dishonourable Peter O'Neil, #2 shadiest character in the NPF inquiry after Jimmy Maladina.

PNC unveils policies
By HARLYNE JOKU

OPPOSITION leader Peter O’Neill said yesterday that most public servants and members of the public engaged in corrupt practices must be dealt with.

He said if his People’s National Congress (PNC) formed the next coalition government, they would push for an anti-corruption unit with wide-ranging powers to crack down on corruption.

He said they would ensure that Parliament passed an Independent Commission Against Corruption Bill and provide the necessary resources and funding to the unit to carry out its job.

“The Ombudsman Commission investigates parliamentary leaders only and does not have powers to investigate corrupt practices by public servants and departmental heads,” he said when presenting the party’s policies at a National Research Institute seminar at Hideaway Hotel in Port Moresby yesterday.

Well let's just see how he votes when Bills are brought forth to deal with corruption. How did he vote when Parliament amended the Leadership Code and watered it down so that they can no longer go to jail? For or against?
How did they all vote? What a pity we no longer can access Hansard so we can see what was said and done in Parliament.

Read the NPF reports. Peter O'Neil follows closely behind Jimmy Maladina in terms of stealing from the public purse. The only reason why he wasn't prosecuted is the same reason why Jimmy Maladina has gotten off on one charge and has never been brought up on the NPF charges.

Answer? Our system is totally corrupt.

ONeil, Somare, all of them lie when they say they are concerned with corruption. They know that we are easily fooled by sweet talk. Somare hasn't even appointed a new ombudsman. ONeil is an embezzler.

MPs bunch of liars, says Masi

DEPARTING Ombudsman Peter Masi has accused national parliamentarians of misleading and lying to the people about fighting corruption.
Mr Masi said 90 per cent of the MPs that served in the present Parliament gave lip service to fighting corruption.
“Many of you came into office in 2002 because you campaigned to fight against corruption,” he said.
“Unfortu-nately for Papua New Guinea, many of you lied and misled the people and the voters.”
Mr Masi is leaving the commission after six years.
His six-year term ended on Wednesday, last week, and although the Ombudsman Appointment Committee, headed by Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare, was informed in January, no announcement had been made for a new Ombudsman or to extend his term.
“It is my hope that in the 2007 election people and voters, using the LPV system, will vote in more popular candidates who will look beyond the tribal and family boundaries and look after the interest of the wider community and Papua New Guinea,” Mr Masi said.
He said he has been involved in fighting corruption at the highest level while being an ombudsman and during his past life and would continue to do so in the future whether in private or public life.
Mr Masi said he had requested the Governor-General Sir Paulias Matane to intervene as allowing the constitutional void may create problems.
He said he had asked for a three-year extension to his term to allow him to improve the management structure of the commission, but the appointment committee did not respond.

Blari two faced @#$@#%*. The first word that came out was the F word when I read this post. What does O neil take us for? NFP also collapsed with their @#$@$% dealings. Thanks to the Morauta Government that revive NPF. Does he think we the people of PNG has forgotten what he and Maladina did? These people don't have consciences. Greed has taken over their good nature if ever they had one in the first place. Unbelievable creatures.

Why do you think Maladina and O Neil never got prosecuted?

Self appointed Grand Chief Dishonourable Sir Micheal, needed O' Neil to form government and Maladina is a family friend of the Somares. So ask yourself..is the Grand whatever also guilty of an accessory to corruption through lack of action?

Then we look at the Moti Inquiry - Closed down by The Grand Whatever and then Finance Inquiry, closed down by the Grand Whatever (once again implicating Somare) and then we have the Investment Corporation Inquiry. No referral action as a close friend of Grand Whatever, Dr Mua is implicated. You then can see that fighting corruptiuon starts at the top, but in the case of Somare, there is no will to fight corruption. Somare or his pro nepotism daughter states in media release that NA and Somare are anti corruption. Oh really???

No Action Party supports corruption through inaction!

Therefore sounds like O'neill is clever and vibrant young politician who can manage to get away from the political propaganda?

O'neill might possess guts to make even the old Sepik chief of thief thrown onto his newly reframed band wagon to little known Pangia.

We'll take it up from the end results of this elections.

Peter Yama is a similar kind of politician.

I wonder why he wasn't crucified if the implications ever have proven him wrong?

Otherwise he still stands credibility.

The answer to your question is below. To summarise: our corrupt leaders are never prosecuted in the first place. They are protected by other politicians. Thus, they can't be found guilty. But they're still corrupt and they've still stolen from the public purse and guilty as hell. In fact they are despicable people.
