Latest on NA Camp in Kokop: Millions of Kina on the Ground to Bribe MPsAugust 5 2007 at 3:01 AM
Most smaller political parties candidates including independent candidates who have travelled to Kokopo to team-up with NA, but some went for these reasons as reported by the media; listen and observe NA and its strategy to form the government.
However, there are inside speculations that some independent candidates with some elected and non-elected leaders of other smaller and bigger political parties are on the ground (Kokopo)with millions of kina to bribe elected MPs already with NA to shift votes on the 11st hour on the floor of parliment on the 13th/08/07. We have been hearing and reading that, most political parties were at first teaming up to outcast NA during the election. Since these political parties doesn't have the number, some of these political parties leaders/MPs are now in Kokopo to support NA.
Enga Governor (Peter Ipatas) in this regard is one to be fear of. Also Country Party Leader (Jamie Maxtone Graham). The other political parties like PDM, Rural Development Party and others who were anti-NA vocal during the election periods are currently in Kokopo to play influencial roles to other candidates to make final decision on the 11th hour on the floor of parliment to outcast NA from forming the government.
We all will be surprise that after 13th/08/07 and beyond, a new government (apart from NA) will be formed.
Asia-Pacific countries are facing very closely, who will be forming PNG's new government. Australia is always against NA government, and won't want to see NA return to lead the country for another 5 years. So we will see, are the outside influence will change the formation of the government on the 11th hour on the floor of the parliment as well?
