ANOTHER AIRLINE SHOULD COMPETE AGAINST AIRNIUGINI

August 9 2007 at 2:49 PM

Competition is very healthy and it only brings out the best in the services it provides. A classic example is the Digicel and B Mobile.

Another airline should also be introduced to give competition to the very expensive air niugini. It is very expensive to travel within PNG than to overseas, its a joke.

Please open up the airspace and let us travel our own country with less expenses on airfares.

OPEN UP DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL ROUTES

August 10 2007, 10:56 AM

PLEASE TELL THEM TO JUST DO IT - WE HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FOR TOO LONG.

They should open up the domestic routes too. Lower domestic prices would increase tourism, who wants to spend their holidays in dusty Moresby?

Let international carriers fly through to Rabaul, Madang, Goroka and Wewak. These places have the ability to be tourist hubs. Nobody wants to come here because of the cost of travel.

Eg. From brisbane to pom return it costs roughly AU$600. Airfare to POM alone.

I can pay the same amount and go to vanuatu, and stay in a resort for 4 days. Airfares and accomodation from Brisbane. Just too expensive for people to travel here.

ASK Mr. JOE KINTAU, He grounded AIRLINK...

August 16 2007, 5:42 AM

Mr. Kintau has all the answers for you. We once had Airlink, where is it now?

Governments must allow small operators to operate rather than grouding them. Mr. Kintau has to explain...

Operating an airline company is harder still in this country. The cost of aviation fuel, useless CAA officials who come up with unusual Aviation rules etc...has a major effect in this country. But Aviation companies, any aviation companies must have top Safety regulations. Airlink lacks that and as a result lives were lost, planes are down....and it is a must that they have to be grounded.

I tell you what, for another aviation company to operate in this Country,

1:You have to have a goverment who has the heart for the people. The NA lead Goverment is not, so congrats to whoever voted your members to form that. They wanted Tourist's to come to PNG. They would love their people to enjoy cheap travel costs....otherwise, NA and grand Thief' Somare is accumulating all the wealth so yupela long PNG, maski istap rabis..Poverty is only good for you folks

2: Like every Goverment Dept, CAA is the most useless, unproductive org.
3: Aviation Fuel costs are not cheap.
