Why do I see the children of politicians/beauracrats studying down here??

June 15 2008 at 4:07 PM
Fed Phucken Up

Why do I have to put up with seeing children of politicians and beauracrats studying overseas?
Isn't the education system in PNG not good for them? If not, why should other citizens put up with it?

Why are politicians and beauracrats seeking medical treatment overseas? Isn't medical institutitions in PNG not good enough for them? Why are we as ordinary citizens puting up with it..even seeing our own die for curable diseases.

Who is going to give much needed attention to this institutions when our pollies and their cronies in the Public Services are having the easiest way out at Tax Payers expenses?

This is madness, totally fhucked up people in the hierarchy, doing everything for their own fhucken good.

The bill

June 15 2008, 5:31 PM

Perhaps they should pass a bill that any children of polliticans or any pollitical appointee must have their children study and receive health care in PNG. Perhaps that way our services and education will improve, instead of having these beaurocrat and polly children draining the economy by drinking and clubbing in Australia.

Seriously folks it is our money, not theirs, we should get a say in how they spend it.

PS. I know it is a generalisation but so what

Don't worry. I think Home grown Rural kids have proven themselves worthwhile on all fronts. In sports, Education and nation building.

We future leaders must not follow the trend.

Follow PNG's national Goals.

June 16 2008, 6:23 PM

Education Curriculum of both nationas are different. the PNG ways are better.

You tell an Aussie kid, if he or she know Papua New Guinea... I tell nothing. School in PNG teacher geography very well so if you are in PNG school...

No ken worry, mekim gut... You only need to Masters and PHD in other countries. Our home grown education is the best..

PNG Teacher in Australia. I've done some comparing.

That is the reason why a student who spend his education in Aus or elswhere finds it hard to fit into PNG system.

One of the nationa goals of papua New Guinea say" Papua New Guinean ways" so lets be proud.

The point of the thread is not "noken wari, skul strong".
The education and health system is falling because people in the positions to make decisions are sending their kids to other countries for better education and they cannot feel the effect of decline in these basic services.

Use your coconuts, the education in PNG today doesn't empower people like before. They are half baked and even death of people today for curable diseases are rampant than back in the 80s. Something is terribly wrong!!

If they want to educate their kids overseas, worry blo ol. That's their business. Alot of people choose to educate their kids overseas, including rural business people, not only politicians and departmental heads.

They're not drinking your money in clubs, they're drinking their parents cash.

Examples of children of politicians that have been educated overseas who have actually achieved anything are zero - nobody, none of them.

Kids that were educated overseas run in a pack here in POM anyway, and they don't give a **** about anyone that isn't like them. they're arogant because they can afford to be and they don't want to know you, or anyone who isn't like them, and who doesn't come from the same socio-economic group as them.

We are witnessing the beginning of a sort of "old boys" network that already exists in developed countries. They look out for eachother, and you will never be like them if you don't have the same background as them.

Their parents don't care about the education or health systems in this country, their parents can afford the best. Who are you kidding mate? Why write stupid posts like this in the first place. Just accept this is the way things are in our country, and you'll be fine.

This post is so narrow minded to begin with that Im laughing my face off!! LOL. How can you dictate how a human being should spend his/her hard earned money? Who cares wether they send their kids overseas to get education or health services? And lets be honest here. Why should they wait inline like the rest of you to get health services when they can make a weekend trip overseas to see a private well qualified doctor! Now thats money well speant if you ask me.
And eductaion wise, well mate every individual has that right to choose for him or herself. You cant force or stop someone from getting good quality education.

To finish off, too bad if you're poor and you have to struggle!! Life is not fair so just deal with it and acceppt it!

TO Whoever started this thread...
Lemme ask you a question, What is your purpose of getting up in the morning and going to work everyday day? I'll tell you, it is so you can provide food, clothing, shelter and education for your family.
That is what these big shots are doing so just shut your trap and be civilised!

Your bigshots have sent their kids to study overseas and they cannot understand why the Education reforms and health reforms are not working in PNG.

Why you bitching..some of this political members work hard to get where they are now and if they want to benefit from their hard work by sending their children overseas for better education..I see no point in you people complaining about their children. If the child goes overseas and fuccks up well thats his and his parents problem!!!

Whether you are poor or rich, every parent want's the best for their children.

I wonder how many people living a good life now takes the time to reflect on their forefathers sacrifices and say thank you. Ol lapum mekim dispela choice na nau mi stap hamamas olsem.

We a living in a present created by our past. A present shaped by our forefathers, grandparents and parents choices. We did not ask to be in this state (rich or poor) but we are here. We are put in the present to change the future, for better or for worse.

In stead of evying the success of others let us make the choices/sacrifices now that will put our future lineage in good stead.

Most of us are quick to judge but if you take a good look you may find that most people who are better off in the present are so because of small positive step ups in their by gone generations. Many have not arrive where they are over night. They are benefiting from the success of those who have gone before them. Those who have a long history of maintaining this status quo take great care in ensuring and sustaining this growth by grooming up their next generation well.

Are our well off's investing well in ensuring this sustain growth in their lineage?

You be the judge.

Yu Guess?

For those who have a problem with politicians/beauracrats children studying overseas - STOP IT. Why are you complaining and generalising? Some of these beauracrats/politicians are business men in the own rights, who have struggled from nothing to something, they have worked hard, built themselves and as a result have alot of money, some which they spend to send their children overseas. If these big shots did the wrong thing by spending the governments and peoples money than let God judge them. STOP COMPLAINING YOU SOUND SO PATHETIC.
