ORO PROVINCE GOVT MONEY FUNDS MISSUSED.

August 24 2008 at 9:58 PM
Simple the best...

Oro Province Govt - misused funds for the province

We recently had Cyclone cuba - big disaster flood affected our Oro Province. Lots of Funds have been pumped into our Province and to the very end most funds where gone somewhere. The money for Free education to support tertiary schools in Oro Province were not even given out -when we asked our Administrator they dont even know where all those Million Kinas gone to?

Even our Health workers havent been paid their entilements for working extra hours towards the disaster.

Our Government is so corrupt. Even our Governor Suckline Tamanabae is one of those false pastors stealing money for the Oro people and having a luxury living in Pom with his Wife and kids., driving tinted glass cars while people of Oro suffers.

Recently our Vudal student in Popondetta have protest against the Oro Government asking where the money for tertiary education have gone to?
The feedback was - our Oro Governor Suckling Tamanabae came on news asking to get names of those students and leaders organised the protest.

Down the line, there have been the rumors that some top criminals were hired by some topshots to come in the Province to take whoever is involved in those activities.

Some remours have also came out : Our Governor Suckling Tamanabae has hired some men in Pom and they killed his daughter's boyfriend. WOW ?

This is some of the inside news from Oro Province.
Please be aware of things happening at your back door. This days you dont trust anybody.

Cheers

What a shame??....why do the oro politicians leave home and stay in Pom coz that is not where you got your votes from and who are you serving in Pom???..30+ years after independence and the province hasnt been developed. The state house is covered by tall grass....the government offices state looks like public toilets...for goodness sake.Believe me..the only building that looks like a office is the one that belongs to the department of Health. We hear about grants given to the province but there is nill develompent.Even there is no job opportunity for the newly graduated university students in the province. Everytime you appy to get a job the norm is ...sori nogat wok. This saddens me because the newly graduated student have new brilliant ideas to help develope their own province but because of this students graduate and go to other provinces to serve and not their own province. Even big figures in offices dont know some of the systems in the office they are working in. For example, a big figure in the Dept of Education didnt know what HECAS and AES was all about??...what a shame...
SO WHERE ARE WE HEADING FOR??...

Why do u people vote for stupid people to become governors and they get stupid rotten brains to run the province down and you simple people suffer.... By the way usait tokim youpla lo votim ol??....

Next time votim ol lain gat bigpla save lo wokim wok gut.You go to university's around the country, u will find alot of highly trained students but I wonder how many of them are given the opportunity to work and contribute to the develpoment of the province..

To the people who voted in the last election.....think properly and choose the right person..so you dont suffer and complain about Developments. Please vote educated qualified people who understand the systme very well and can improve instead of slack people. The major problem is that you vote people who dont know what they are supposed to do so they tend to follow those who know what to do and dont contribute to the development of the province....who kism big name and become rich overnight and forget the ones who voted for them...

Hearing and reading stories about my place brings shame to me because I am from Oro. But these are all the talks of today.....the question is what can we as educated people of oro can do change this corrupt system???.....so far we haven't done anything and yet we sit and complain about how the corrupt the system is!!!!...........

If the Students of VU can do such protest and challenge the government of ORO, I don't see why the rest of the town population and the people of oro can sit down and do nothing about it!!!.......

I am willing to make a change in the system for the benefits of those who come behine me, but we all need each other to make these change!!!........

To Sucklin Tamanabae, your people are suffering........its your responsiblity to see to them........You belong in ORO NOT IN POM!!!!!

Concerned Oro Son

Oro Province Govt.

November 17 2008, 11:02 PM

As a full blooded Oro son I would say most of what you have said has been on the minds of many of the people of Oro; many of these things are now a major concern. In all of this I think the people of Oro are to blame for choosing leaders with very shallow outlook in politics.
Besides all the obvious shortfalls, I believe what the people of Oro are really needing is a Governor who can show some leadership. People are not looking for money or other things they just want some leadership - someone with a vision and direction - someone who can inspire the province. People of Oro have shown their true strength by coming out of "Guba" and living on despite the lack of its Government's support.
As someone closely related to the present Governor I am speaking freely and without bias. It is my clear understanding that the family of the present Governor are not involved in the Governor's leadership and have been trying to clear their family name for sometime now.The Governor is independent of the "Tamanabae" family, his decisions and conduct to this day have been from his own personal direction; much of which has resulted in the suffering of the people of Oro.
If you have concerns and proof, there are proper authorities that you can go to. As for the family's stand we can only pray that a miracle will happen but justice must take its course no matter what.
So people of Oro don't wait for your Governor, its a waste of time to think anything will happen. Your children's future is important so do something for yourselves now.

the sad thing is the so many educated and good hearted oro people the world over who could do a better job that the crooks we had since independence but none of them are willing to or going to put their hands up if they are unable to get the mandate from the people. in oro is not what you know and can do that counts but how much goodies you can dish out that does. so until we wake up from our slumber we a doomed and we'll be selling our souls to anybody with money. sad state but unfortunately that seems to be the case now.

P/Rite,

Toktok bilong yu em tru. Both the people and the leaders are to be equally blamed here.

We voted the wrong people na nau yumi kisim taim. But who will we vote? We have voted uneducated former raskols, we have voted highly educated people, we have voted Pastors, nearly a whole range of people tasol inogat senis yet. They are all the same.

People are now all in front of govt offices checking out when they will get all their claims for helping out during the disaster. One can guestimate that only 30-40% of the claims are probably genuine, the rest must be giaman. But then were proper procedures followed when help was sought during and after the disaster? Why not we all say, forget about the claims, we helped our own people during this taim nogut. Having said that, a big thumbs up for the villagers along the Kokoda Highway for providing free water, food and shelter for people who were stranded along the highway during the disaster period, you have shown your true Oro Kaiva colours - well done.

This is over a year now since the disaster and nothing is happening on the ground regarding the restoration, yet there are frequent trips made to and fro Pom regarding the Oro Restoration. There are a lot of vehicle mechanical problems due to wet crossings and no permanent bridges built so far. Come the wet season and maybe all the temporary bridges will be gone.

Na ol Oro lain long Pom, Merry Xmas long yupla na plis toksave long ol leaders sapos yupela bungim ol long at least come home to Oro long spendim X-mas holide bilong ol.

Thankyou

How sad???

January 15 2009, 10:42 AM

It's a sad thing to know when this is happening in your home province. I just hope the people of Oro will learn from this and make some wise choices when it comes to chosing a leader at election time. Most of all, make sure the leader to be is highly educated and not some dumbo that is in there just to make themselves rich overnight and not look after the people that got them in that position at the first place.
