56 Mps voted for Corruption - brown envelopes surely has made some difference.

Fifty six member of Parliament voted for CORRUPTION, they knew too well that most ministers and the Somares are now very very rich in a short period of time. An Mp from the Government side saw just before the last session Arthur Somare handed over brown envelopes believed to contain K20,000.00 in K100.00 bills. Kerema Mp Pitom Bombom was caught red handed slipping the envelope into his jacket just after Arthur Somare left for the chamber through the center door looking straight to the speakers chair.
Mps who received the envelopes were Pitom Bombom Kerema Mp, Hon.Havilo Kerema Governor, Hon. Luther Wenge Morobe Governor, Sohe Mp, Hon. Sali Subam,Hon. Benjamin Philip Menyamya Mp, Hon. Miringtoro Bopuganville and Goilala Mp others who were on the low risk category received lesses amount.

PDM Party leader Hon. Michael Ogio has admitted through a (recorded message) now with Ombudsman that the 56 Mps who voted in favour of the Government have now received the K2m (part of their K10m DSIP funds) minus those Govt. faction that have crossed the floor or voted with the opposition against the four months adjournment. To pool K2m for 56 Mps a total of K112m wasn't an easy task, funds were drawn and pooled from various secret trust accounts to make the balance while ignoring the Opposition and the defactors.

The Finance Department staff when asked to revealed the cheque numbers and the payee details (names of electorates) they just replied by saying that the Mps are corrupt so we will sell all these information for K50,000.00, it is sad indeed.

The civil society must now question each and every leaders of this nation, particularly their stand on corruption. When are the Mps going to stop trading themselves for corrupt like in this case now the brown envelopes containing cash because those same Mps are re-prostituting themselves again and again everytime when the Somare's political foundation becomes shaky.

Mr Kaiwi the president of NA and Joice Grant were also seen delivering brown envelopes with cash supplied by Arthur Somare and Paul T.

Seven years of power has really set the Somares and the NA regime to be deeply rooted in Corruption with the Kitchen Cabinet Ministers who now have relocated their families overseas to their multi-million dollar properties while pretending to know the problems of this young nation.

I think, honestly, one of them need a bullet to drill their skull, maybe then the others will have some sense of fear and decency and act in the best interest of the nation.

None of you have any ability to organise people and lead a movement against this corruption. I'm sure Arthur Somare understands that the PNG educated elite is headless, without leadership, and without any ideas on how to fight corruption, which gives him and others an open door to continue on and become even more corrupt.

I'm sorry that we act so helpless in the cyberspace public, people from other countries must wonder what good our education does us when even we who are lucky to be so schooled are so unable to solve the problems our country faces.

56 brown noses

August 3 2009, 8:55 AM

Brown noser

"A person who acts favorably to his or her peers to gain status or fancy that will eventually be used to their advantage. Such as a raise, promotion, or acceptance in a group. Usually brown nosers will do anything to gain the approval of their person of choice. These people can also be described as losers because they cant work for what they want, instead they play dirty and butter-up the boss/teacher/peer into getting what they want. Another word for this person is a shoe shiner or a rough translation of brown noser in Spanish is, an arse licker."

Brown noser = someone who's nose is covered with pek pek because they are licking a bosses anus.

56 of them in the PNG Parliament Many more in senior positions.

And if one brown nose
Should accidentally fall
There'll be 55 brown noses
Hanging on the wall...

And so on and so on until we get rid of them all!

Somare Staunch Supporter

Let NA rule....

August 3 2009, 3:03 PM

You guys tell me what you and your opposition cohorts would do?

Somare has stabilized the economy and won the investor's confidence. As a result we got the LNG project going. I don't see any other differences that the opposition would do but continue the same old trend of make it bad to worse. (Putting more money into the pockets of their supporters).

Regarding the properties and investment, look everyone one of the MPs has some sort of business going on so what difference does it make on the Somare family?

So let the old man rule and let's wait and see for 2012.

The truth is that any of Somare's allies knows immediately that people like you and I won't do anything but whinge as they slowly consolidate their hold on power. In other countries, the educated elite stands up, marches in protest if necessary, and pulls down the corrupt. Not in our country. All you and I do is whinge, whinge, and whinge again, somehow thinking that whinging will be enough to scare off Somare. But Laka, he's the one who's laughing all the way to the bank!

Sepik River God runs circles around the so called educated elite of PNG and laughs!

August 4 2009, 5:19 PM

Yes indeed.

None of the abundant do nothings on scape want to listen to the truth.

They'll grumble and complain until the sun goes down and never realise that they're great examples of the reason why Somare runs circles around us and laughs.

Cowards, all. How our tumbuna would cry if they could see.

Arthur Somare is now in full control of National Alliance.

August 5 2009, 8:39 AM

Don Polye is now cut off and in self exile in one of the highlands town while Patric's case is now watertight and he is going in (Thanks to the smart Arthur's mind of cutting off fellow NA's who are in his way), Belden knows without Patrick he will be refered (Sandaun incident).
Arthur and Dad now has Puka's balls in their hands so they are using the smooth talker to talk to the crowds while Arthur will carve his way up.

Arthur is now cashing big (RH sponsor) to re-organise the party structure for the Somare's legacy to be in the making very soon. Timothy Bonga has been send sniffing around some landowners of Vailala Blocks to get more information to screw Belden and Patrick even more.

The next PM of PNG will be Arthur Somare.

PAC Chairman is one of the CROOKS - T Bonga

August 5 2009, 4:46 PM

T Bonga is another son of Somare and he broke all the rules as an Mp in the past, never been jailed. The recent Taiwanese Deal Ombudsman can't do anything. How can you get a CROOK to catch a CROOK ?

Need to set up a judicial independent commission against corruption (ICAC) under the judiciary, with NO politicians involved. Give it wide ranging investigatory powers and teeth to compel the provision of evidence and the jailing of those found guilty.

However, it will probably need a change to the constitution which will never get through Parliament, supposing we even HAVE a parliament that meets once in a while.

In England during the civil war they gave names to various useless and manipulated sittings of parliament - eg. the long parliament, the rump parliament etc.

In PNG we can call the current one the pek-pek parliament? Maybe you have better suggestions?
