CHRONOK MANEK IS CORRUPT

Insider

The way he is running the OC is the same way he ran the Office of the Public Prosecutor, with total incompetence. He protected his friends. He is corrupt. Sorry for PNG. He must be replaced.

Chronox does not appear to have the maturity or wisdom of the late Sir Charles, whom I was privileged to work under for a number of years. Most will recall that in the early 1990's, Sir Charles came under similar intense public criticism, rumour and innuendo, to that now being experienced by Manex, over the OC's failure to charge Diro with leadership breaches following the Barnett COI. However, not to be discouraged, Sir Charles eventually triumphed over this adversity by referring Diro to a Leadership Tribunal, which resulted in Diro resigning and effectively ending his political career and chances of becoming the first Papuan PM.

Unfortunately, Chronox does not appear to be similarly motivated when it comes to the Taiwan and other dubious deals, now demanding his urgent attention and action. In all honesty, if he was doing his job properly, these cases should have been the subject of referrals by now and his silence and inaction is quite bewildering.

As an interested observor, and former insider to the workings of the OC, I can't offer any plausible explanation as to why this has not been done already.

On the other hand, I am certain that Manex is not corrupt as some punters are now quick to allege. As far as I am concerned these allegations are too farcical to be true, and should be discounted as the ravings of lunatics, unless, of course, hard evidence is adduced.

Me thinks, there must be other reasons but for the life of me, I can't put my finger on what they might be. As in the case of Sir Charles, I know that the criticism hurts and the best way of silencing the critics and redeeming one's reputation is to bloody well do something about fixing the problem up, which is another reason why I can't understand Manex's inaction.

hmmmm...I meet with Cronox overseas last year and he was saying he was doing great and the MPs were shivering but a different impression is being portrayed here. It's all the same...people thinking more about their bread and butter on the table than doing their job without favour.

I am shocked to hear that he is protecting a few. He should step down! Also I heard that there was a reason why he was shot at last year..very interesting. There is more than what meets the eye with this man.

Mi no save atin ol waitman ikam bek na lukautim yumi na bai yumi senis oh?
Every office that I see a Papua New Guinean run seem to be corrupt in somewhere or if its not don't seem to have any directions or chieve any results.

It is sickening to hear about people with all these qualifications and experience and yet when presented with an opportunities don't achieve much at all.

When is Papua New Guinea going to change for the better?

Mr. Manek should be concentrating more on his work and less on women and playing politics. He failed as Public Prosecutor when Moti first arrived, now he's trying to blame Somare. Come on Chronok!!
