What do you expect? O'Neill is a clever crook. He stole public monies from NPF. He couldn't be prosecuted. He went on to become an MP courtesy of the people of Ialibu-Pangia. He survived in Politics without being touched coz he knows how to make peace with his enemies. He went onto become the PM and no-one MP who voted cared about the integrity of their candidate and no PNGean also cared about that. Actually, PNGeans claimed it was the 'will of God'..and if the CJ is seen to be a threat to the survival of O'Neil, he doesn't give a damn..you will walk!!
Your evaluatiion seems to have some merit. O Neil has no merit and he cant be a PM coz he is a crook. A crook will use people to appoint or remoove anyone that is a threat to his power. Wait pastaim he will goo out the way he came. Thats for sure!!!!
Yeah.. M not shocked bcos the former CJ Sir Salamo Injia had on several occasions double dipped in allowances. One classic example is in the begining of 2010 he instructed the finance officers of NJSS to raise a cheque payment of K30,000 to be paid as his childs school fee to an institution.. Pls em osem wanem? He also at times tried to control the NJSS Department which shud in fact be under the dept. secretary.. He also was in contempt of court last year for tryn to divert assets/monies belonging to the late Justice Hinschcliff thus denying the beneficiaries of their benefits.. M wanem kain CJ ya.. YEAH GOOD ONE, HIS OUT... M boi blo somare ya... no wonder sir michael somare just got 14 days suspension with full pay as penalty for his Official Corruption earlier this year bcos CJ salamo injia appointed some old retired judges from aus, nz and british and salamo and somare bribed them to be lenient in penalising the sick old somare... What a corrupt CJ in the history of PNG... Pls investigate na salim m go lo kalabus if he is guilty. Let him feel what it is like up in bombex.. It wud be a good experience for a guy who use to sentence law breakers to actual feel what it is like to be in jail..hehehe!
with such a big decision, why didn't the PM make it? Or is he globe-trotting on the falcon jet again....? Is this one of those "Augustine Mano" moments where the PM will have to backtrack? He denied that cabinet were pondering over it last week....Is he really in control??
I'm sure it was his decision. He just let someone else make the call because of his defensive stance against Sir Amets comments in the papers - eitherway, this was coming ... a ploy to further stall the outcome/decision of the SC in Dec. Won't be suprised if we get a bunch of retired expat Judges soon to hear this case ...Somare did it and taught everyone so Oniel will do the same.
Fellas, am so ****** off because O'niel stole mone with Jimmy Maladina who is now in Brisbane...O'Niel stole money from NPF and became a Business man in the 90s, he is the weakest of SLUT,,,who seduces other MPs to gain inocience....He is a crook as well....
Let me tell you he is a Desperate person with a Rubber Stamp at Government house as GG ....marry eloped wife of a Solomon Island man....
John, they're all corrupt. That includes O'Neill and Inujia too. Injia thought he could get away stealing late Judge Hincliff's entitlements to go to his adopted son. When he was caught, he started covering up. Typical pasin blo ol lidaman blo yumi. O'Neill knows these games, so does Somare, Injia, Namah, the whole lot.
I always wondered by all the photos of Injia showed that stupid irrelevant British wig on his head. It's because the man is almost as kela as a baby! Post Courier photo on front page Friday shows it all, his face looks quite a bit like a ripe pig ready for mumu.
They're all losers in the sense of morality and ethics but all winners when it comes to theft and enrichment.
Come off my grass! It’s most preposterous for anyone to imply that O’Neill is going to clean up corruption in PNG.
There is a proverbial saying in Ialibu, a pig that steal from the gardens will always attempt to steal even if you blind it or cut its feet off. Once a thief, always a thief.
So my friends “ Corrupt” O’Neill CANNOT CLEAN UP CORRUPTION in PNG.
Nor can “Corrupt” GC Somare CLEAN UP CORRUPTION in PNG.
Wake up O’Neill is in there for himself. Read what the world experts are saying about O’Neill’s true intentions. This is highly confidential material exposed by wikileaks.
Nearly every week the millions handed out here and there are beyond the Prime Ministers discretionary funds limits. The public coffers are being depleted with unscrupulous and unbutgeted handouts hither and thither. The much publicised handouts are just smokescreens to camouflage his true intentions, grand scale embezzlement.
All that is happening is hence a publicity stunt so the gullible public is lured into giving him a corrupted full next term of government.
I saw this before in the Southern Highlands with both late Governors Dick Mone and Hami Yawari in how the public coffers were depleted with public infrastructure at the mercy of it.
Oneill has an appalling rhetoric to demean Somare. He says the about K80 billion wasted over 37 years with nothing to show for it.
Blame it only on Somare or maybe O’Neill and his Cohorts should share the 49% of the blame? Former PM Rabbi, Former PM Mekere, Former PM Julias, Former DPM Haivata, Minister Ben Micha, Minister O’Neill himself, were in government for a substantial period are now in the confederation of delinquents government.
Lets see the facts of PMship in PNG.
GS Somare 17 yrs, Chan 5yrs, Wingti 5yrs, Namaliu 4yrs, Giheno 3 mths, Skate 2yrs, Morauta 3yrs, Abal 9mths and Oneill 6.5mths.
Somare & Abal about 18 years and the rest allies to O’Neill 19yrs 9mths.
All of them have failed this nation.
The current confederation of delinquents who squandered K40 Billion (other K40bn by Somare) are deceitfully lying to us, suppressing the freedom of speech and are in frenzy of robbing from us in the guise of fighting corruption.
I have put the stigma of the word corruption in quotes thus giving them the benefit of doubt for Oneill and Somare.
Let Oneill prove to the public that he is transparent by scrutiny of a competent enquiry without terms of reference. Log in your eyes O’Neill, it will blind you!
Stand your government to scrutiny of the courts and stop using the police to intimidate our judges, journalists and the community.
If you can acquit yourself you will have my vote, if not you have something to hide.
O’Neill where is the NPF acquittal, where the millions of Kina of the Public Service Housing Funds and also the Funds for Communications you paid to your company Remington Office Machines.
Somare where is the hundreds of million road funding in the East Sepik.
Need I say more?
PNG please find fresh and good leaders. People of noble characters.
No my friend, what our good corrupt judge Injia was doing in paying back the money so late was trying to cover up! THAT's the issue now friend-it's the coverup.
Injia is currently accused of is COVERING UP his attempt to steal late Judge Hincliff's entitlements left to his adopted son.
The moment police started wanting to see the check paid out for Hincliff's entitlements, Injia corrupted the role of the courts and put a stay on this attempt to collect evidence. That is just about as low as a judge can go, using his power to keep himself from being investigated.
That's always been the issue with Injia. He abuses his power.
It's not the only thing Injia has done that's corrupt, but simply the thing the government can easily get evidence to nail him on. Kind of like Arthur and Michael Somare being placed before a leadership tribunal instead of taken to criminal court for their thievery. Fact is that they both should be in jail (especially Arthur) but the police investigation system is hopelessly incompetent and these thieves know how to launder their money so that it isn't easily traced(the whole purpose of the 5 start casino in POM was to launder corrupt money).
Our country has become hopelessly corrupt. The court system is only one aspect of the breakdown.
