This
is a somewhat unrelated set of comments. I am merely checking this
information. Can anyone clarify and/or verify the latest (shocking - if
true) incident that allegedly took place at the Airways Hotel Port Moresby last
night (Monday 02 July 2012), involving so-called caretaker Prime Minister Peter
O’Neill and an unidentified expatriate man? A little birdie tells me that
the heavily intoxicated caretaker Prime Minister Peter O’Neill (said to have
been drinking since earlier in the day) was involved in an almighty brawl at
the Airways Hotel in the evening yesterday. It is understood that the
“Honourable Caretaker Prime Minister” had consumed copious amounts of alcohol
when he became involved in a fierce debate with the unknown expatriate man,
believed to the husband of the young sister of prominent millionaire
businessman George Constantinou Junior. The essence of the argument is
unknown however it is understood that Peter O’Neill repeatedly assaulted the
expatriate man through the course of the evening or at least until the expat
man was quite badly hurt. It is alleged that the Airways Hotel staff and other
guests were present throughout the ordeal where Peter O’Neill is said to have
behaved atrociously, in a manner unbecoming of a leader, let alone the caretaker
Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea (during this critical period of the National
Parliamentary elections). Can anyone at this site verify this information and
can the victim of this alleged brutal assault be identified? If there is
any truth in the matter, then questions must be raised regarding the excessive
violence, leadership code breaches etc demonstrated by a man who insists on
being called the Prime Minister of our country. If the allegations have any
material base, Peter O’Neill should be questioned, charged and arrested on
various grounds relating to the apparently vicious incident. It is
understood that the expatriate man at the centre of the violent attack by Peter
O’Neill is in fact the son of another millionaire businessman with solid construction
industry credentials in Port Moresby and regionally in Papua New Guinea. An
inference was made to suggest the expatriate man was associated with L&A
Construction. Can anyone verify any of this information? We do not
want to re-install someone with the credentials of a drunken bar brawler who is
prepared to violently attack a foreigner (or anyone else for that matter) for
merely having an opposing view to his own. If any of this is true we must
ask. Is Peter O’Neill fit to remain in the running to be one of the candidates
vying to become Papua New Guinea’s next Prime Minister? Anyone?

Only in the crazy land of America would the #1 top dog leader be caught getting oral sex from his intern, with every little bit of evidence broadcast throughout the world, and that leader shows no shame.

Only in the Land of the Unexpected would our #1 top dog leader not only be as competitive a womaniser as Bill Clinton, but would get down and dirty in the mud fighting in a public brawl that the whole public could witness. Only in PNG does the PM chase after girls and the Deputy PM chases after boys.

And we call ourselves a Christian country. What a laugh!

The "victim" was Damon Cragnolini, son of Luciano Cragnolini, owner of L&A Construction.
Ironicly, Peter ONeil and Luciano are "besties" and have been for years.
Not sure what the fight was about, but its common knowledge that Peter ONeill has been "looking after" Luciano's wife (Damons step mother) for a while now.......

So the story IS true - what a friken hilarious story and only in our banana republic would it happen

I agree - Oneil's stooges will come rushing to make up info to protect him if necessary.

On one hand, the account seems a bit too detailed to be the usual kind of baseless gossip. In other words, it's believable.

On the other hand, notice 2 very curious facts:

(1) that the person who quickly said that O'Neill was in Ialibu (and why would he be.... the voting was finished) acted like he didn't know the date of the fight, even though the date is clearly stated in the account.

(2) Notice too that he says the PM was in Ialibu for 12 days. That couldn't possibly be true. The PM couldn't afford to be away from Moresby that long, there's important business to take care of and it's not as if O'Neill has a wonderful comfortable house he can vacation in up at Ialibu.

The evidence is building in favour of the O'Neill prize fight at the Airways on 2 July.

They show no ability to debate sensibly or educationally & I guess the reason for that is that their heads are literally empty. Their education has been a failure in teaching them to think, all it managed to do was teach them the basic reading & writing skills and even that not very well.

An adulterer and a brawler teaming up with a gay deputy leading PNG? You can only get it PNG and not anywhere else in the world.

No wonder the manner in which he went about to tenaciously cling onto the PM's job in the last 9 or so months have really tested the the foundations of our democracy and the independence of the legislature, execuitve arm of government, and the judiciary.

Most of us have learnt to survive on an uneven playing field and so will it remain like this for a very long time.
