i think the proposed skate park is a great idea, however it would mean more kids risking their lives trying to cross the road, as i have to every day to get to the bus stop. I am surprized no one has been killed trying to cross up nr the dunncanfeild petrol station. kids living in the balmalloch area have to cross to go swimming and to the garrel vale center, it is a nightmare trying to cross espeacially at peak times. i would like to see some kind of crossing there.

Yes, I have asked about a safe crossing on the Stirling rd at the Covenanter Petrol Station before now but got nowhere fast - lots of kids have to cross the road there to get their sweets, ginger and comics, though its not as busy as the Ballmalloch end, the traffic goes a lot faster on the Stirling Rd as there isnt a roundabout to slow it down. The problem is much worse during rush hour, with lots of heavy lorries trying to avoid the bottleneck on the A80 at Auchenkilns roundabout.
