hello-can some-one please tell me why very few people are using this site now;
looking at the local rag there is not much happening in kilsyth;
civic week was good but do we not have anything else to cover the summer months;
we had highland games here 40 yrs ago wich were a treat as all the top athletes from all over scotland particapated-------
why hav;nt we got five aside football pitches at burngreen park or use the tennis courts for that use as these spaces should be fully utelised----
our teenagers are hanging about corners with nothing to entertain them hence they hit the booze and get up to mishchief-
this is still a great place to live but like many small towns is losing it;s community spirit;
what happened to the trafic wardens we were to get--we have road works all starting up again-pavements being renewed-no shops to keep our interest or money in the area-the white hoos is still black the streets are full of dogs ****[ not mine as my master picks it up]

this wee town needs to be looked after properly by people who care----nearly all amenities are in cumbernauld-dole-theatre-work-and leasure facilities WHY------

i;ll stop my growling for now as i;m off walkies but i shall return grrrrr woof woof;

I'm still checking in now and then even tho I don't live in the town but I do miss the banter of everyone...maybe everyone is busy. but I still check in now and then to see how my beloved Kilsyth is doing, even tho I've been gone 34 years, I remember it fondly always. greetings from California Bow Wow, glad you love your doggy,as I love my two doggies.

Loved your picture Rob.Did they all grow those beards waiting for something to be done with our GREAT little town.I have to agree with Bow-Wow.The town is decaying.Why can!t a place for the young people be built for them.Include the young adults in the organization of a place of their own.Maybe they will take pride in something that were included in.It!s worth a shot.
I have been gone from Kilsyth a long time(70) years to be exact.I!m now back to stay.I left when I was eleven. An old chum and I sat and over tea were reminiscent of the old days. we played ring-o-levers under the street light, thats all we had.Time marches on. Progress must prevail.It!t not fair to the kids,that the don!t have a place of their own.There is a lot of GOOD Young people out There ...Give them a chance.Council can!t something be done? .
