Many thanks Bowwow and Rob for replying to my query. How did it come about,?simple really,a youg boy`s fertile mind and to much imagination namely myself when I was about 7 or 8 years old.My father always took me from Kirkintilloch to Craigmarloch to fish for pike he and his mates were Polish and they used to get together and play their accordings out side the wee sweety shop at the bridge over the canal.
One day there was an almighty rammy at the farm between adults involving youngsters,I think I must have overheard a spectator say"theres going to be a murder up there" and for many years later it stuck on my mind there really was a murder.Just to add I have travelled most of the world but Craigmarloch remains special.I returned to Craigmarloch a few weeks ago to show my wife and it brought back a flood of memories, all great.
Regards.
John.

Yes, I also asked the farmer at Woodend, Ronnie, if he knew anything about it and he didnt come back to me either. So I wonder where the story came from?
