There are lots of stories out there from seniors who have personally told me of Mr. Parker visiting the docks and trying out a few ideas. Now I was never fortunate enough to meet the man, but the stories all sounded fairly realistic, and were from a few different sources. I would have liked to have been there firsthand to see, and who knows how much of the stories have grown or shrunk over the years, but there are definitely several out there that show a certain adventurous side to Mr. Parker needless to say.
I really wish I could have known him personally.
