1) Sir, I'd suggest you quit lecturing a woman (not a "female"...HAMSTERS are females,)
Actually a female is one caring two X chromosomes or if you really want to play with words it is also used for plants in Botany.
and how IS it goin' with addressing the rampant sexism in martial arts, not to mention right-wing Christian circles?)
Have no idea, don't deal with sexism, because I've had great female instructors: Sharon Floyd, Rita King, & Cynthia Prouder (trained with only a few times)
a) you were the authority on the subject of Being Black In America,
Not an authority but it was my minor in College my degree is in Psychology and I do have to say I learned to appreciate more deeply my Blackness, because of my minor and how to navigate through obstaces.
b) you got to arbitrate what was funny and do I REALLY need to list the proud tradition of black comedians who said this kind of stuff in this kind of way over the last two centuries?
I have studied subjects on Black comedians and how somethings they do affect our community.
2) I did not say anything at the time. But I thought Dave Crouch's questions about why the HELL anybody needed to drag their religious beliefs onto the mat, and run them in other people's faces, were dead on the money. But then of course, I thought Jesus meant it when He said...what was it.... something about, "Do not pray in public and make a show of your faith, as do the Pharisees and Hypocrites, but..." surely you'll know the quote and the context better than I.
never ran anything about my religous belief in anyones face I said it was a great workout but since you have never trained with Bishop Williams or at his school you wouldn't understand that the Bible is constantly quoted and referenced, because it is a Christian Organization. I also said that it makes my deen (faith) stronger, because I learn and grow from my Brothers and Sisters there.
3) I don't understand why you'd bitch out a woman who, I can personally attest, has done kenpo wearing a burqua for the last fifteen years. All this time, and we still don't even know what her nose looks like.
This comment has nothng to do with your understanding or Kenpo but the characterization that has been used to stereotype a people, but you wouldn't understand.
