Well, as you may have read my post above.
As a school owner I put the Ideal Phase first, in the LEARNING STAGE of the technique. After proper exucution and understanding the technique in general I teach, tell and show them the alternatives on executing that same technique. Regardless the rank! On belt tests, I would like to see both, ideal AND what if. Of course I hope to see more creativity in their kenpojourney while moving up in each rank.
At the end; motion and spontanious reaction within the technique is most important to me.
