I am the sifu that hosted the tournament that has seemed to started this discussion. I want to make it clear that I am very loyal to Kajukenbo but I also understand that there are other styles that are very effective. One of the kenpo instructors at the tournament is like a brother to me and I would have his back anywhere anytime. This was our first tournament and ALL of the funds went to the kids and local charities. The purpoe of this tournament was to bring people together that wanted to bang and create a sense of family not to stroke peoples egos or create a debate between Kenpo vs. Kajukenbo. I think that we need to remember the principles of respect that we teach and stop generalizing. I learn from whoever I train with and that is why we evolve.
