Hmmmm...

Your thought process is that you are going to strike your way out of the above grab? If so, will you need a base first? Or will you strike without the base? Just curious. If we can not establish the base, then is it plausible that we can deliver an effective strike? Thoughts?

Instead of having the strike as the primary focus it should be the establishment and creation of the base. The following is what takes your opponent's balance. More so, this can be achieved if you work at it. Once achieved, then the strikes can now come to play.


Lastly, the sum total experience an individual has is reflected in each person's journey, and this effects a person's paradigm which ultimately contributes to how one looks at a technique. Thoughts?
