First of all I was not talking about "slappy kenpo". I was talking about slapping a guy across the face and that can neutralize him.
Second of all a street situation is not always war. Even if the guy is trying to hurt you then you are obligated in most situations to have compassion. To neutralize without damaging if that is possible. And hey this is not something I made up Mike. This is what was said directly by Ed Parker. That was his philosophy and this is what he defined really as his christian ethic of kenpo.
Oh and it is worthless to get into whether his faith was Christian. But the point is that he felt the compassion of the art came from "jesus Christ". That was what he said and I was there.
