HI every one,

i was wondering if any of you could help me with a little idiomatic problem. does anybody know what the phrse nip the tip means. could you please explain it to me if you's have heard this before?. this was said by mr parker in an interview and i would like to know what he refered to when he said it. any help is extremely welcome. thanks
