Have you discussed this with the BKF champions???
I've been sidekicked by Steve Muhammed, Ray Wizard, Ray Doss, Barry Gordon, and a slew of other kenpo people that could sidekick - and all I can say is that that kick hurts like hell. Those folks can stick that kick - and that's putting it lightly.
I wouldn't dare walk up to Alvin Prouder and say "your sidekick is a push kick!" The next thing I'd know is that my left ribs would be touching my right ribs.
A push doesn't hurt - a sidekick hurts!!!
If I were you, I'd reassess your description of a sidekick.
