Response to I really have to say...

When I said I have never found my Kenpo lacking against any practitioner from the grappling disciplines. That does not mean I have never had to tap out to a grappler of course I have. Trial and error is part of learning. I just was not allowed my full Kenpo menue nor do I think that would be acceptable to use in a tournament setting or having matches for mutual improvement and exchange of ideas. Of course on the street people do not introduce themselves as a Jujutsu or whatever expert before attacking. So most of my grappling opponents have been in various branches of the Military and on some occasions in martial arts schools. As far as combative situations who knows what they studied, I try not to find out...I am still here.
On the street its more the person and less what they study that counts. You said as much in a prior post Bob.
