Just for fun, try to use Gift of Destruction as a gun disarm technique.
How about Crossing Talon?
One of the issues we must consider in a gun disarm is where that bullet is gonna go. Consider Gift in Return. It's certainly not perfect used as a gun disarm. Didn't say it was. But consider it as a possibility when where the first shot goes is of primary concern.
We've been having fun using techniques for something other than their intended purposes and learning a bunch.
Anybody else (or am I being silly and it's everyone else)?

I lucked out. From the get go, every kenpo prof I've played under has stressed that ideal phase teaches us how to move, or some specific moves (i.e., how to put that arm bar on a guy in Crossing Talon), but that the skill itself has multiple applications across a wide range of possibilities.
Some of the "what if" study sessions should almost always have, "How could you deploy this against a _____ ?" section to them.
