Even though the time frame for the original publication was the 1970's and early 80's, it is needed more today than ever. It has not been available for at least the last twenty years, so most black belts in Kenpo are unaware that it even exists.

I felt it was time to reintroduce the Kenpo practitioners to it's wealth of information. Starting with the original cover. the second edition has been kept as close to the original as possible. Formatting the original, to the computer has been a real challenge for a non-computer person like me. I hope I have done justice to Mr. Furuya's work.

One of the greatest pleasures in my life was training with Mr. Furuya at his Glendora,Ca school from 92-98. Also to mention all the great Kenpoist that dorned the mats on Friday nights.
