Long Beach IKC workshops for RFKC

The Long Beach Internationals is proud to announce the following Intructors will be conducting workshops at this years event. This is a great line up even though we are getting the word out a bit late. We hope as many as possible will be able to attend. The proceeds from these siminars with be donated to the Royal Kids Family Camp. You can sign up for these workshops at the door or online at or through the website at Stick around after the workshops...AS Angelo Collado will be conducting this years Friday Night do not want to miss THE LINE... Cost is a small donation of $45 for all workshops and the line. I hope to see a lot of the Kenpo comunity get together and enjoy these workshops and Join in on THE FRIDAY NIGHT LINE

Master Mohamad Tabatabai,

An 8th degree black belt in the art of American Kenpo Karate, began his training at Ed Parker's West Los Angeles studio in 1979, and is recognized today as one of the top Kenpo Karate instructors in Los Angeles. He is the founder and president of the American Kenpo Karate Federation that has active members worldwide. He has produced 40 instructional color video tapes and DVDs, which entail all material (basic fundamentals, weapon forms, kata, and techniques) from white belt to 5th degree black belt


James Bennett

James Bennett was born and raised in Ireland and began his martial arts career 30 years ago, winning various tournaments, both nationally and internationally. He is a 2nd degree black belt, under Professor Ed Downey, 8th degree black belt, and currently runs his own Kenpo Karate Studio and private gym in West Los Angeles. He has an extensive background in boxing, and various forms of martial arts. He has worked in Hollywood as a trainer to various luminaries, in addition to working as a stunt man, actor, choreographer, director, and producer on various movies such as Fatal Deviation, Moving Target, Extreme Force, Alexander the Great, and Max Havoc to name a few.


Professor Angelo Collado

Having been involved in Martial Arts for 35 years he holds a 6th Degree Black Belt in Ed Parker's Kenpo karate. He was a member of Team USA Kenpo Team from1996- 2004 during which he won 13 International and World Champion titles and 5 European Champion Titles. The first and only Kenpoist to win the International Karate Championship Black Belt Grand Champion Award in the tournament 37 year history he is also the founder and Master of the Kenpo Karambit and Co- Founder of the Kenpo Karambit Association with Tuhon Steve Tarani.
He is also a 4 time Director of the Long Beach International Karate Championships, and a Registered Sports Medicine Therapist. In addition he holds many positions at Covina Center for the Performing Arts and works with YPI as a choreography instructor. He also serves YPI as a member of the Board of Directors.
