Blackouts

Does anybody else think it's strange that there have been so many major power outages across the world lately? First it was New York, then London, then Sweden and yesterday Italy. All these blackouts have affected huge areas, and there has been no real explanation for any of them.
What's going on??

Black Outs

September 30 2003, 3:47 PM

Michael,

I too was thinking the same thing this morning. Although none of the countries are on the same power grid. Therefore, it must be something else.

I know that when there is a sudden rise in temperature people start to use more electrical equipment. Drawing then on the energy. Was there an increase in the temperature in the places in Europe?

If not, my next thought is that we all are now online, adding far more electrical power requirements per household, which can possibly put the system on overload.

Lastly, an answer beyond our logical minds...
