Okay ya whiner. The Mill move May be dial up unfriendly

by Wild (no login)

When I got home from purchasing the new mill, John already had the old one out of the garage.

Norm got there 20 minutes later. I told him to drive S L O W!

Backing it in

Okay, now how do we get it off the trailer?

Always good to have an extra supervisor and my neighbor was willing.

Now to figure out how to pick it up.

Finally off and in one piece.

John was real worried about busted sidewalks and stuck in the grass. Hey John it’s a rental, don’t worry, it isn’t ours..

Swing BASH! I started getting real nervous about here. Glad I was deaf as Norm said it made a good THUMP!

About here we needed to lay the head down as it was way too tall to get in the door.

The head was laid on blocks of wood and a strap(!) was supposed to keep the head from moving…

The other pictures were enhanced as they were all dark. This is how dusky it was getting. This is also the last picture I took of this series as right after this picture was taken, the head settled sideways. I saw all my money and years of looking for an affordable mill going down the drain and had to walk away. Needless to say, they got it in the shop okay.
