Turbo conversion

Ok long story short,when living in holland met a guy from south africa,he had a D plate GT with a turbo conversion,using the supercharger block,this thing did 12 sec 1/4 miles,he now has MR2 with same,I am now building GT turbo here in Lincoln so if anyone fancies it doing or wants info let me now....

First you need about 1k either get a supercharger engine appx £400 remove the supercharger etc,you now have the lump,then fit turbo manifold appx £150,then get a turbo poss T3 or T34 etc from ebay or ??? appx 150 then all you need is a mappable Ecu Appx £150 then fit it in your car,hey presto 200+bhp no probs....Ok thats not tottaly it you need intercooler,pipes etc but thats the easy bits,they just come together once the engine is in,you can use a 1.8 carina engine bottom end and a corrola head to make a low compression 1.8 turbo,thats what I am buliding.....watch this space.....

hi im looking to convert a 1990 toyota corolla into a turbo version what are the pit falls and how easy is it to do? also what bhp am i looking at and is there anyway of reducing the wheight of the car 1.5 tonne is a lot for hatch
