Hi i hope someone can clear this up for me. I have been told that it is possible to change and xv535 engine with an xv750 engine without any problems. Is this true and if so would i need to change the carbs, exhaust etc.
Thanks in advance

Sorry to say you'll find the frames of the bikes are different, I'm informed that even if you could do the machining required to make the 750 fit it is probably not worth it. The confusion may be that the 1100 and 750 fit in the same frame with just fuelling differences.

Try partfinder as they are in touch with 90%ish of scrape yards and breakers, also have a look on ebay as there are sometimes a few virago's that are being broken.
Happy hunting.

Yeah, definitely the same frame. At worst it's just the mounting brackets that need to be changed. As far as I know you can fit anything back to the old TR1 engine in.
