Just to start I used to have a Virago 1100 back in 91 from new and I loved it.

I only had it for 6 months as I needed some cash

I now have a Suzuki Burgman 650 K4 but it's not for me.

I want a yamaha cruiser again but dont know what to get!!

I know I loved my virago 1100 but am unsure about the the starter problems that they have (even the one I had showed some signs of what was to come...clicking)

Also the exhaust emmisions law for the MOT, are they still ok!!

I am not tech minded and all my repairs are done by a garage.

I also like the Drag star 650 and Virago 535 but worried they may not have the power that I have been used to. The Virago 535 looks very small.

The bike will be used all year round as my main transport, I just would like to know mainly (I think (confused)) if the Virago 1100 is reliable enougth for all year use, or should I be looking at the 535 for reliabilty or the dragstar as it is a more newer bike.

its a bit late to respond to your message now but just in case I'll say that if your used to 1100 power then you'll not be happy with 535 .. the xv750 is the closest on power and its still a little puller
exhust not covered on the mot unless thats changed in the last year
