Brisbane Writer's Festival

I also went to the Brisbane Writers Festival on the weekend. I even attended some of the same lectures you did Louise! I spent half of the time whispering to my sister, "do yo think that's the writer Louise Cusack
sitting over there?" I wasn't sure if it was you or not, so I didn't want to make a fool of myself strolling on over and saying hi. It was quite a good
festival wasn't it? I expect to see you up on stage talking next year, and I WILL say hello instead of dithering around wondering if it is you. Take care, Debbie.

Big hello to Nicole, Erin, Deborah, and good luck with the essay, Timna (it was the tiny tail I was talking about, Timna and my daughter was very superior about the fact that I didn't know they were born that way - so shoot me, I wasn't a horsey girl!). Deb, I'm so sorry I didn't get the opportunity to meet you at the Bris Writing Festival. I would have loved to. If I'm doing any other functions/appearances I'll give a bit more warning, and maybe this time wear a name tag And BTW, the best way to get me 'up on stage next year' is to suggest it on the festival feedback form. There
were quite a few Bris authors left out this year, so I didn't feel so bad about being overlooked (it is my first book after all).
