Timna, you are so sweet putting my books on the ends of the aisles where people will see them. I'm sure it will make a difference. Every new persons who buys the book might tell a friend and so it spreads. In fact, I heard the other day that Angus & Robertson's Post Office Square bookstore (Brisbane city) have a little notice next to my books with a 'staff recommendation' and a blurb about how great Destiny is. Naturally I rang to
thank the manager and she said the books have just been walking out the door so I'm going in next week to sign some more copies for them. Very exciting stuff. This is exactly what I'd hoped for, not a big splash with lots of publicity at the launch, just a quiet word-of-mouth getting around and sales picking up over time. My publishers will be pleased. |

Not a problem re: putting your books out. Had a bit of evil to let off....lol.... bet the recovering staff dont notice acually! lol. Hey thats great about the bookshop doing that thing to get customers more attention. I know when ever im in a book shop looking for a good read i wonder if any one near me has read it...on one occasion a middle aged man and his wife
where in the same aisle (fantasy) and saw what book i was hold ("The Ill Made Mute") and told me not to bother! Can you believe it! I didnt buy it but for other reasons (bought a Robin Hobb book) but how strange in anycase. Ive recommended some childrens books before to people who have asked me, as i look in the childrens section too....hope they like it! |

Timna, I've heard from others that "The Ill-made Mute" was brilliant. Go figure. |

I'll get the Ill Made Mute...i still think its worth a try, but of course im picky. You have to be when your a collector like me. I dont use Libraries often, i like to have my own books. I think my bookshelf shows that point rather well. | |
