I know its hard to get back on the horse, so to speak, after being rejected but that is what separates the dreamers from the people that realise their dreams. Good on you for having the courage to go on Laura!
Tolkien's Lord of the Rings was rejected several times, so much so that he thought it would never be published. Just think where we all would be if he hadn't persevered?

Yes, you go girl!

I admire you laura. Not giving up when something knocked you down. It shows courage and a strength of personality alot of people do not have these days.
You can only fail if you do not give it a go and try every avenue you can think of.

Tafe is cool

Hi Laura. Nice to finally meet you and say hi. I've been briefly reading the posts while I was away, but I'm in catch up mode today.

Well done on getting into Tafe. When I was in year 12 I decided I didn't want to go to Uni and be stuck studying for 4 years as I really had no idea what direction I wanted to head in. So I did a computer course at Tafe and I'm now doing IT - have been in my current job for almost 2 years.

It's not my passion, but it pays well, and I like it well enough til I work out where I really want to head. I might stick in this company awhile longer - try and train up to get a promotion this year if I can. There's talk of outsourcing our division, or even redundancies, but I'm not even worrying til it's decided. Worst to happen, I'd get a payout and look for another job.

Anyways, off the track! But I wanted to say that Tafe is great for getting you trained into a job you want, and on-the-job training is often sooo much more practical than Uni. You could always think about doing Uni in a few years if you really want to - and get your employer to pay for it! Fi

You never know what the universe has in store for you, Laura, but so long as you keep pointing towards your goals you're making progress. I've always found that when something 'bad' happens to me, something really fabulous happens later on that could never have eventuated if the 'bad' thing hadn't occurred first.

I'm always saying "the universe looks after me" and I'm sure if you let it, the universe will look after you too.

Laura, good on you for trying for another course. Any decision to try something new is admirable. And just think - how could we appreciate the good moments if we don't have the bad moments to compare them with.
