Cafe Muse #2

Read through my Cafe Muse story today after resting it for a couple of weeks and I love it! It feels so neat and concise and I'm really proud of it. Some sort of Muse welled from within to force the story onto the page, I'm sure of it. Yay! I'm glad I had this forced oppurtunity to write a story this length as I've never attempted it before. It's great to have these sort of exercises suggested for us all. It all really feels like it's helping alot! Yay for us!

So glad it worked out for you Alyson. It's almost like being in a creative writing class only you don't have to do the assignments if you don't want to!

Perfect.

I'm looking forward to getting back to my cafe muse story one day but at the moment I'm just SO engrossed with book three and I love it that way!

setting boundaries

ok, so we have any ideas for topics we want to cover with writing in general or personal problems with writing, then lets set the ideas in motion here!
I personally want to know more on agent finding, but since we have to write something worthy of an agent, that idea is alittle down the track. so what else....speak up guys!

My Cafe Muse story is once again on the back burner...typical. And my novel is not even in the saucepan at the moment!
Do not fear though...it does not mean I have given up. I just have a few things to get through and then I will be back with a vengeance.

Read through my Cafe Muse story today after not looking at it for a week or so and was really pleased with what I have so far. I am very happy with myself.

Give us a 'D'! It's good to see you're happy with your story so far.

Though I would be happier if it was ready for me to read! So hurry up! (See I am preparing you for your future publisher who demands tight deadlines! Aren't I such a help?)

Alyson, you are such a help. I can just imagine Deb, up to her armpits in small children, thinking "Gosh I'm lucky Alyson is on my case about that short story."

Seriously, though, there is only a couple of weeks to go so we'd better get our collective fingers out if we're entering one.

Gee I'm quaking in my boots Al!

Sorry Editor Alyson Pushy Boots, but I'm so into my novel at the moment my Cafe Muse story is on hold...don't want to interupt the magic while its helping me fly!

Hee! Hee!

And, OH such a help she is too!

You are right, Louise. Alyson is such a help, heaping on the pressure, and in the school holidays as well! Gee, you can tell she doesn't have any kids can't you???

I have now decided Editor Alyson Pushy Boots is going to be my pen name. It has a nice ring to it don't you think? And the 'B' will keep me eye level so Deb should be happy!

eye level

I must admit Cusack is at eye level or above and it's very helpful to be in that range. Still, Kim Wilkins doesn't seem to suffer lack of sales from her position further down the alphabet, so perhaps it's just your first novel you need to get noticed, and after that people look for you.

Still, I like Pushy Boots. It's cute.
