The messageboard has been very quiet lately! I wonder where everyone is? What you are all up to? I hope everything is ok with you all!

Guess it must be uni etc Deb. My brother started IT this year and I can hardly catch him he's so busy. And Timna has horses and a job on top of that workload

I miss them, but it's cosy with 'just we three' until they come back.

The other thing to consider is that book two comes out in June so there might be some new people drawn to the messageboard then. Which will be great, particularly if they're writing too. Perhaps we should enjoy the quiet while we can!

Well on one hand I hope you get a flood of people visiting your messageboard, because that means they bought your book!
But on the other hand I love the group we have. We are like friends now. The support is great and we all know where to come for a whinge! If it came a veritable throng it wouldn't be so easy to do that. Still, for your sake I hope it buzzes along.

Can you imagine the chats on Sunday with one hundred people turning up!!!! I think the Chatroom would have a heart attack and die! LOL

Absolutely. And I think I'd feel claustrophobic as well. At this point in my life so many things are changing, I'm finding it easier to 'go with the flow' than to plan ahead for every contingency.

And you're right, Deb. We have become friends. Our little group. That's been one of the very surprising and happy things to come out of this messageboard. Let's hope for more of the same in the future.

Hello All!

My sister got married at the weekend and I have been caught up in all the pre-wedding preparations for the last month. Not only was I one of the bridesmaids - my two little cherubs were both flower-girls. That's two different dress-makers, twelve fittings, three pairs of shoes, purpose specific jewellery that we all had to be measured up for.

Well!!!! It's all over now, the wedding was beautiful and if one of the flower-girls decided to leave the bridal party and check out the church during the ceremony - well who really cared? My sister, who is normally very uptight smiled indulgently down from her place next to the altar. She wore ivory satin, as did the angelic FG's.

The bridesmaids dresses were a bold choice - lime green satin floor-length a-line skirts with a very 50's off the shoulder hand painted silk bustier/blouse. The fabric for the top was embroidered with vines and flowers and each of the flowers was painted in varying shades of green and yellow from olive through to a pale lemon. It all came together very nicely - with the green theme carrying through to the flowers - we all carried bouquets of green and yellow carnations, champagne roses, and the FG's had circlets of champagne rosebuds and green orchids.

The girls flew to Perth yesterday to spend the school holidays with their grandparents, so I have time to do all those things you never get time to do with children around. Look forward to chatting on Sunday night.

I am sorry I did not rememeber, Timna. Now that you have meminded us, I do recall you saying you would be in Wagga for a couple of weeks. Maybe I am going senile and lost that bit of news in the cobwebs of my brain.

Good to see your back, Karen. Glad your sister's wedding went off with a bang. And who could blame an excited little flower girl from investigating the church. I know I would have wanted to have a peek around.

Timna, like Deb I must have been having a 'senior' moment. We forgot where you went, then we missed you! It's a mother thing. So how are Kat and Aud? Did they miss you too? (Or did they remember you were going away?)

Karen, glad you're back too. And I love the idea of an adverturesome flower girl. In fact, I love everything about weddings. They're so glamorous and romantic. Are there going to be any photos posted on the web where we can see them?

well Kat and Aud did remember that I went away.... lol.
They were all the better for it I think. No work! lol.
But it doesnt matter, just as long as you missed me!

ps. The horses are good. Aud is quite big now and Kat thinks she's back on the race track each time we go out for a walk! Shes definatly a thoroughbred.

So pleased that they missed you too, Timna. I'm sure it was hard to be away from them. I know I feel that way about my kids if I'm gone for a weekend!
