Must admit I'm not worried in the slightest about Mr Potter stealing the limelight.  I just feel incredibly blessed to be a published author at a time in our world history when millions of people all around the world are waiting with bated breath for the release of a book.  I don't think we've ever had that phenomenon before, so you have to admit, it's a great time to be writing.

And let's face it, all those kids will all grow up and want adult fantasy one day, so someone's going to be "right place, right time" to reap that readership.

Lou! I adored your post! So positive and excited and it got me excited! I had that very conversation with my hubby last night (he doesn't read anthing but the sports pages of the newspaper). But he even agredd how lovely it was that those books are getting soooo many people, and not just kids, reading.

So Lou, have a lovely time at your book launch and I can't wait to hear all about how it goes. Deb can be ou representative. You should wear a badge or something Deb, a Project Muse symbol of some sort so we can be with you in spirit.

The book launch was fab guys.  About 40 people turned up, had a wine and schmoozed, listened to me waffle on about the evolotion of the Shadow Through Time trilogy and my exciting new project - asked sensible questions (which is always helpful) and generally had a good time.

The staff at Angus & Robertson Post Office Square are just legends.  They were so nice to everyone, and because it was my birthday that night, they even had a cake with candles.  The manager (who was introducing me) had everyone sing Happy Birthday to Louise!  Right before I went on, mind you - so my funny opening line went right out of my head!  But everyone listened politely anyway

I guess Glimmer has had her 'debut', and is officially out in the world.  I hope she does well.
