Just started writing

December 13 2003 at 3:28 PM

Years ago all I wanted to do was write, when I became a very young mum it was put on the back burner(for quite a number of years). Now my children have all left home now and I have commenced my very first novel. I'm already up to the 6th chapter and my mother is reading it as I go, she waits with anticipation for each chapter and if I start to lag behind she rings me to encourage me as she can't wait for the next chapter.

Hey Veronica.  Welcome to the messageboard.  So pleased that you're finding the time/space to write now that you have an "empty nest".  Do keep us updated with your progress on the Project Muse thread - that's our "book in a year" project.

Hi Vroni (bavarian for Veronika),hello and welcome, about what do you write?

Grace

What my novel is about?

December 19 2003, 7:12 AM

Hi Grace

My novel is situated near the foothills of the Warrumbungles Mountians.

It is about a country girl who came out of a really bad relationship. Will her X (Jack) ever leave her alone? is the Question that will run right through the novel. Will her friend (Steve) and Grandfather (Kennedy) be able to protect her?

She is running the family farm, which she losses because of an added twist of the Warrumbungles becoming volcanic again.

Lots and lots of drama already - I am going to call it "Darkest Hour" - I want people to be so glued it its pages they just have to know what going to happen next. I already know how it will end.

Thanks for your enquiry Grace.

Veronica

The Wolpi lives in the Bavarian Alps and Bavarian Forest in coves. Bone finds and skeletons prove that the Wolpertinger already lives for primeval times in the Bavarian forests. Bavarian panatreologists discovered its ancestors in 20 millions years old rock formations.

Another Piece about Bavarian

December 21 2003, 10:19 PM

The Alp Foremountains

Stretching from the Alps to the Danube, the Alps Foremountains border on Lake Constance to the West and on the confluence of rivers Salzach and Inn to the East. The Upper Bavarian Lake Plateau dominates the landscape, with Starnberger lake (57.2 sq. km), Chiemsee lake (77.8 sq. km) and Ammersee lake (47.4 sq. km) characterizing the varied scenery of that region. Along with a host of small lakes and wetlands, the foremountains regions of the Alps are ideal for recreation and leisure. Pine forests, arable land and fields outline this lake-rich moraine landscape, which dissolves to the North into gravestone terrain.
The basins of Donauried, Donaumoos, and Gäuboden - the granary of Bavaria, stretch along the Danube.

Veronica

Hi Vroni !

December 24 2003, 3:19 AM

How I see you are very interested in this part of the world, where I live. Honestly said I'm deeply impressed, your knowledge about Wolpis & Bavaria is great, the things I don't knew how large are the lakes, there is one called The Unfaithful Lake (no natural lake, made in the early 80ties).

No Vroni, I'm NOT German, I am an European with Polish roots, I come from Warsaw.

May I ask you for what investigate you so exactly for Bavaria? For a book? Journey?

Hey, one of my friends is called Dieter too, but he is...male, so far I know it, lol. Vroni, you are an international lady...I remember, one of most difficult questions of my son was: "Mami, who am I? Which nationality? Yeah, that's not so simply...Mish-Mash-Mix, LOL.

And if you ask me what happens, if WW3, then I can say....I personally don't want to be the one of few survivors....

Luv

Grace

Me neither Grace (WW3) but I do wonder about survivors an era that is totally futuristic (would make a good novel) ----- it differently would be the survivalist of the fitest (so to speal) BUT what for....... the uncertainy ..... survival ?????????????????

The baravian question ------ I'll get back too you after the new year - in short it is a novel the (in my head now0 ----- pass by some ideas with you in the new year. Nothing will come of it though until well passed the new year when I have finished "Darkest Hour" (The farm girl/volcanic story)

It will be great to be able ass ideas passed somebody in Europe when I get to there (if that's okay) Authenically speaking
