Conflux 2006

Guys, if you're not doing anything on the weekend of June 9-12 and you can get to Canberra, do attend Conflux 3. There are fab panels happening, great authors lined up and apparently even link-ups with Arthur C. Clarke and Ray Bradbury! It's not all about writing, though, there's a great art display, lots of info on manga, movies and spec fic tv shows as well.

It's all here at: http://www.conflux.org.au/

Hey Louise,

I'd be interested except for the fact I'm still pooped - can't imagine why that could be tongue firmly in cheek.

Actually also a heavy birthday weekend for me - parental and partner so not going to be possible (not to mention we are aiming for a European Xmas this year).

Cheers,

Nicky

Interesting. What's a "European Christmas"? You go to Europe? Christmas in July so it's a cold Christmas? What??? I'm all curious now.

Hi Lou,

Sorry re my lack of clarity (I blame tiredness * lol*).

European Vacation was a bad reference to Chevy Chase movies (actually which I've not seen) but we are aiming for Dec 25 to be in Paris with my sister. To be followed by holiday incorporating girlfriends in England (Watford) and Los Angeles en route home. My son transitions to high school next year and we thought now would be a good age - still a child (of sorts) but not yet a sullen teenager who will go to monosyllabic conversations & "disintereste" interest. My sister is out now (all this week) so we are going to get some dates down as goals to aim for (and match their hectic schedules - sheeeesh artists).

Nicky
